Akarui feeling the grip on her wrist, just knew that the rope wasn’t long enough to reach her. Even so, with the girl coming down to get her was already enough a sign that the rope’s length was too short. In response to the grip, Akarui grabbed on for dear life as the rest of the rumble that she was on, suddenly breaks apart and tumbled down into the depths of the valley. ”That was a close call,” though Akarui as she felt that her life had just shortened by a few years. She’s gotten into situations like this but they were less, life threatening then this. However, she was thankful that this time around, she also lived through this event.
After getting pulled up, Akarui, a bit scratched here and there, which was not from the fall even, relooked over at herself to check for wounds. ”No, I’m fine,” replied Akarui as she got up from the ground. Turning from Cassandra to Tsubaki she thanked both of them as well as their horses, ”Thank you.” As Sebastian came over and nuzzled at her. By patting him, he was relieved, his rider was alright and did not at the least, have wounds or worse, end up dead. ”Good boy, I’m okay so do not worry,” she said to him as he also finally calmed down. If something was to happen to his rider, it was something he couldn’t get over because it’s a connection that just can’t be explained. Therefore, he was glad and hopeful. However, whoever chased them to the edge of the cliff side had a motive.
“What’s with the glare stare competition?” Asked Akarui as she noticed that the two girls have been glaring at each. Even though she knew of their status due to her ‘hack’ skill, it was something that she hoped that they weren’t arguing over.

Tsubaki didn't return Cassandra's glare, she simply ignored it knowing that it would have been childish to continue a little fighting because she was only warning her. Tsubaki smiled at Akarui, "nothing at all--just it seems she had taken offense of my advice from earlier. Though it only spoke truth about her overall personality--no matter--what I want to know is what were thinking when going over the border line?"
Her voice held no malice or any snide comment behind it--it was completely sincere looking the girl over then to Sebastion, "you were very lucky that there were people at the stable--if not--well I really wouldn't want to think about that now." Mila nudged Tsubaki noticing the girl's small cuts, before moving around to show the saddle bag once more, and Tsubaki understood what she meant. She went inside getting out a small medical kit, "nonetheless, a small cut like that can also prove dangerous--not that I'm saying you're in danger."
She moved forward to place on proxide and some small bandages on the cuts looking at Akarui, "it'd be better to make sure the cuts don't get infected." Tsubaki moved away looking at Cassandra for a moment, "let me see your hands....." She held out her own showing a somewhat red marks on them from the rope, a little blood welling at the side.
She looked at it before looking at Cassandra, "don't worry about the blood, nothing wrong with my blood--though that depends--are you afraid to touch blood?" Her voice again didn't hold any malice, neither did her voice, but if one could not stand the touch of blood, then they didn't belong in the battlefield. "If you are--then you shouldn't be at a school were death lies.... Neither of you."
Mila lowered her head to rest it against Tsubaki's shoulder trying to make sure she wasn't trying to start anything, but Tsubaki only shrugged her shoulders. "I'm just saying--I know exactly what side I play on, but that doesn't mean I'll allow others to get themselves killed for other people's nonsense." She looked at Mila petting her head, "you'd think talking everything out would fix things, but men and women are just too greedy."

Cassandra supposed she was glad that they had successfully rescued the individual in distress; guess it would a good thing that Sebastian was such a smart horse then huh? Before she could answer Akarui’s question Tsubaki spoke out and just lied completely in her response which infuriated Cassandra to no end! Not because she hated liars but because it reflected badly on herself and by George Cassandra refused to stand for it whatsoever.
“Actually, the truth of the matter is that Tsubaki here threatened myself, my horse, my family and insulted the both of us under the guise of granting advice so I wouldn’t listen to her. And also Tsubaki? Don’t make judgements about somebody you’ve only talked to for roughly five minutes, it reflects badly on you and makes you seem very low in intelligence which you are might I add and oh, perhaps you should learn it’s not your place to give unwanted advice? You lack that right so I recommend stopping before you anger somebody who would… not tolerate that” While Cassandra said that she had a very suspiciously polite smile across her lips.
But yes that was intended as a threat and insult but seeing as how Tsubaki had done it herself Cassandra was in the right, let’s see how much miss “I think I have the right to insult and threaten over people” liked it. With that though any and all attempts at holding back and not barking at Tsubaki had gone right out of the window, no way was she going to allow Tsubaki to get away with this travesty any longer, it was unacceptable that Tsubaki was stepping beyond her position and place. Sure if Tsubaki had the right to give Cassandra advice then she would have accepted, like if they were friends, and if Tsubaki had included multiple threats against herself, her family and Sapphire then Cassandra most likely would have tolerated it but oh well, if Tsubaki wanted to be a stupid idiot then Tsubaki could be a stupid idiot. It was official, Tsubaki was her enemy now and forever, after this situation she would cease tolerating her presence and refuse to insult her.
As Tsubaki had brought up the matter about injuries and wounds, Cassandra looked down at her own hands to see that they were sore and redder then normal from friction burns but not bleeding fortunately. Why Tsubaki had looked over to Cassandra when she said to not be worried about blood was beyond her but the answer was soon made clear, yep, she again had insulted Cassandra in the in-direct manner which all of Tsubaki’s had been so far. And then after that was more unwanted and very rudely given out advice, maker’s breath did Tsubaki have no notion of politeness or manners? Nope, seemed like she didn’t but oh well; at the rate this was going any and all conversations between Tsubaki and Cassandra where going to basically end up like a battle between a lion and a dragon with Cassandra being the dragon and Tsubaki the lion.
A smirk grew over Cassandra’s mouth as a cute and slightly insulting pet name came to mind, she wondered how Tsubaki would react to being called Kitten, maybe it would annoy her which if so would be enjoyable to watch because at least then the two of them could have a direct and open war instead of the cloak and dagger means that Tsubaki had so far been employing.

Just great…Akarui meant for a simply question but now what she got was essay long explanations. Which was something that she was not actually expecting to hear from the two girls. Obviously, with their tone, it was surely that something had gone wrong with their last conversation they had or whatever happened. However, after hearing Tsubaki’s words Akarui felt a bit offended. Even though, she doesn’t blame Tsubaki since Akarui herself had not even introduced herself known to them. Although, without thinking, Akarui opened her mouth and started to talk away.
“Tsubaki Rin Storm; First Year…I’m not one to speak but I’d be careful of your word choice. As for this school…I decided to come here because I chose to on my own will. As for dangers…I’ve been through enough when I was a first year – in the end, I’ve seen classmates died and those that barely escaped death. As well as becoming one of them. Even today was the unexpected like any other when on a mission or expanding beyond the school’s boundaries,” said Akarui as she felt that once again, she has opened her mouth too much to strangers she barely know.
”Although, I may have not experience as much as Lady Cassandra Richardson Davion the Fifth; Third Year, I’m sure she’s been through more. Unless, is on the contrary of inactivity but again, it’s not my place to say. Furthermore, it seems to me that you two had a controversy over status. Don’t let it bother you because you might just have to put your life in their hands. This school is full of the rich, the middle class, and the poor. However, they all pull through together,” added Akarui after answering to Tsubaki.
And once again, she said the names of the people she’s never met before. Now this would make her look bad unless…she could come up with some sort of bypass explanation or other ideas in mind to slip through this. Of course if they didn’t realize either, that make it much easier but that was a doubt.

Tsubaki would have said something about Akarui knowing her name, but she only nodded in response before looking at Akarui with a raised brow, "be mindful how you speak of others names Akarui--that is something that doesn't reflect good in the eyes of others." She looked away for a moment trying to gather her thoughts, and yes she knew what she was doing, but as for how long the thought gathering it would be--she didn't know until she spoke to Cassandra, "it is you whom is mistaken by my way of giving advice, and I have just as much as you...."
"Indeed she does, oh--that reminds me, you're Cassandra aren't you? Try as you may--you'll never get her to show you any malice, not something my sister does well in."
Tsubaki turned toward the source of that voice, "brother--what are you doing here?" As she said this, a large black with silver mane Percheron step silently from the mist that was not there earlier, "Tsu-Tsu, finally I've found you--you know father is indeed looking for the both of us yes? Something about you needing to head to some kind of meeting?"
Tsubaki only growled, "not interested in what my father has to say--neither do I have any interest in joining a meeting--possibly trying to marry off his daughter...." She turned away just as the large Percheron moved forward looking over the other horses, Mila gave out what sounded like a happy huff as she literally pranced up to the horse that seemed to glare at everyone in sight.
"Ignore the glaring horse, now then--ah yes, you two are Cassandra and Akarui yes?" The boy stayed silent for some time looking at them with muddy brown eyes, if one were to see--they would have realized that the boy was blind, "....my sister spoke truth for you third year, though I don't doubt your way of speaking back toward her--she can be very blunt--she doesn't know how to speak around it."
He didn't even give any ill-will, but then his voice held a cold tone, "I will give warning however--our family might kiss up to those that they might think are stronger, but that is only to them--my sister and I--don't follow that. If you want to get better with people, it is not Tsubaki's attitude that doesn't need fixing, it is yours--Aya-Gozen was a strategist, nevertheless--my sister has been a strategist as well."
Tatsumi tilted his head trying to calculate the odds, then looked over both Akarui and Cassandra, "you must possibly be wondering how I am besides her brother? My name is Tatsumi, a third year as you will--so yes--I can speak to you at equal level if you think my sister is not--though I find it the other way around."
Tatsumi looked away for a moment as his horse seem to make eye contact with the other two horses as if daring them to step closer, "I do not say this to be an asshole--though I can turn out to be one, if you so much as say another bad pun about my sister, and noting that you might actually try it Cassandra--my sister's real threats aren't nothing compared to mine."
Tsubaki looked at her brother in warning as she spoke, "you will do no such thing, I can take care of myself you idiot--it is you whom should watch how you speak--you have enough people that hate you." Tatsumi only shrugged, "not my fault--I've always warned them of my abilities." Tsubaki only sighed looking back at the other two girls, "you'll be seeing my brother a lot unfortunately--he's part of the riding club."
"You make that seem like that's a bad thing....."
"Considering it is you--yes--it is."

At least this younger student could see that Tsubaki really should pick her words more carefully but what was the point about her going about her life story like that? Didn’t really serve much of a purpose seeing as how Cassandra didn’t care, didn’t relate to her after all but oh well, this Akarui girl must have just been one of those overly talkative types. Wait, how on Earth did Akarui know of Cassandra full name and title? She hadn’t handed out that information to her yet, that must mean that this Akarui had connections or some other means of getting private information which automatically made her untrustworthy. “You, Akarui, how do you know my name? Answer me quickly” she was going to figure out how Akarui knew in the most direct manner possible, simply asking her but if that failed then Cassandra had other methods at her disposal.
Akarui was incorrect about them having a controversy over status though as that wasn’t what happened, what happened was Tsubaki had decided to be rude for no reason end of story. Oh wait? Giving advice? That lie again? Please, advice was meant to be helpful and assist people, not be a manner to insult and threaten. By this point it was pretty clear that Tsubaki was an idiot with no common sense what so ever so screw her, Cassandra was just going to return to the stables having giving up dealing with the stupidity of this girl. But it was then that a male voice spoke out, seemed they had a guest to attend to but that still wasn’t going to keep Cassandra around any longer than finding out who this guest was.
Oh so it was Cassandra attitude that needed fixing?! Forget that! This Tatsumi was clearly siding with Tsubaki solely because they were siblings and as a result anything and everything he said was made invalid, not like he had proof that was truth and him not simply saying so because they were related in blood. She no longer saw any point in continuing this conversation with either Tsubaki or Tatsumi as it was pretty obvious Tatsumi was going to just side with his sister and that they were both stubborn and brainless, moronic fools the whole lot of them. Yes she did want to leave but her desire to get an answer out of Akarui was keeping her here.

”Oops, I let my mouth slip again,” thought Akarui after she said what she didn’t meant to say. She wasn’t a much of a talker but the problem was that she was starting to get ticked off by this situation and just rambled her mouth without much thinking. This time around though, was something that she was hoping to also let pass by quickly and get out of there but the problem was that another person had appeared.
TATSUMI STORM?! THE MISTY-EYED ICE PRINCE!? Exclaimed Akarui to herself, in her mind as she sighed and saw that it was really him as she went on her hands and knees then now, sitting with her legs crisscrossed on the grassy ground. He was one of thee top third years even though he didn’t look like one with his attitude but it was something to be awed at. Especially, considering how much he’s liked by both some of the students; males and females and as well as favored by the teachers. However, right now, Akarui really did want to just jump off the cliff and get out this situation. Turning her head to Cassandra, “I’m…an informant,” was the only thing that she was going to say and nothing more. Much like, it was her excuse of saying that she’s going to zip her mouth now for before as an apology. Although, the term didn’t really make much sense but she used it anyway because it was a vocabulary term among the ‘hackers’.
”Oho? And here I was hoping to have gotten her to her graveyard but she survived. Furthermore, I see I got more people to play with now too,” said Kamui to himself as he grinned, while being about one mile away from the rest of the party. Specifically, he was the one who had droven, or tried to; make Akarui to the edge of the cliff side. It was a game that started because he was bored and did so in the shadows. Readying his bow and an arrow he says, “Arrow Rain!” Aiming the attack at the party to see their reactions.
Before realizing it, Akarui was getting up and she could hear swishing sounds. Blocking out all other noises she focused in and was trying to hear specifically what that sound was, further more it sounded familiar to what chased her and Sebastian to the edge of the cliff. Finally, looking up, she saw it, it was a couple of – no, a hundred arrows coming in towards their area where they all where. ”SHI-” SEBASTIAN MOVE! Shouted Akarui as she quickly got onto her horse and went a few feet away from the area of the arrows, luckily enough to invade just in time.

Tsubaki heard the whizzing sound of arrows right away as she looked up to the sky seeing more than the ones that almost hit Akarui, and she growled as she unsheathed her blade as quickly as she said, "Wild Storm." Her blade moved in a circular motion as a vortex of wind seem to have come from out of nowhere slicing around herself and her brother, even cutting some of the trees shallowly.
The arrows however did not survive that counter measure as most of them seem to have been sliced to bits, but she was more concerned at the other arrows that weren't in her reach. "Move away quickly" she growled to the others including her own brother as she straddled herself on Mila, and soon even the young horse traveled closely by Erebus with Tatsumi still saddled on moved away from the area and into the forest.
"Well--we've landed ourselves in quiet a predicament--what do you say we do little sister? You are by far the strategist I trust enough to keep me alive anyways...." Tatsumi looked on to Tsubaki wondering what her next course of action would be, but she didn't say anything so far--he eyes were closed in concentration as if trying to figure out something, "a decoy should advice in our advantage--Tatsumi--if you'd be so kind as to travel with Erebus?"
"You want me and my horse to act as the decoy? Well--your strategies has gotten us out of sticker situations--so I guess I shall go forth as the bait this time." He knew he relied too much on his sister's tactically skills, but they need this form of trust, and he only nodded before gently tapping at Erebus' sides, "alright--lets go pal--we've been counted as bait."
Erebus charged toward the area they were last before stopping dead fast in the dirt looking forward to the cliff, and Tatsumi just sat there being smug looking out further at no target that he could ever see. "Well now--you have two choices--go after the others--or have you taste in having to deal with me--a third year--what's it to you?"

Oh so this Akarui was an informant? That made her even more suspicious then beforehand, who was Akarui an informant for? Why was she feeding them information? And most importantly why had Akarui so freely given up that information? It just invited even more suspicion and made her far less trustworthy not that Cassandra had trusted her beforehand anyway. Regardless of that though Cassandra was tired out by this day’s events and so wanted to return to the stable, set Sapphire up for the rest of the day then return to her dorm room for a few moments of relaxing or at least she was planning to but that was when a swishing sound rang out through the air, looking up Cassandra saw a rain of arrows falling down upon them.
Summoning her shield making it appear in her arm in a dazzle of light blue sparks she moved over to Sapphire and raised the shield above them to protect herself and her steed from the arrows, whoever was responsible for these arrows would NOT have Sapphire nor would they take Cassandra’s life either! Having deflected the rain of arrows Cassandra lowered her shield and began looking around for the arrows source which she couldn’t see which meant their foe had the advantage of range over them; they would have to close the gap on that and remove that advantage.
Annoyingly Tsubaki and her biased brother Tatsumi had survived unharmed although Cassandra overheard their strategizing about what to do next. Apparently Tsubaki was going to use her own brother to bait out the person responsible for that arrow based attack from a few moments ago. “Temporay truce?” she asked Tsubaki offering a temporary truce for their own victory, would be better if they just worked together and then went back to hating each other’s existence afterwards. She watched as Tatsumi rode away to be the distraction and so Cassandra climbed upon Sapphire’s back awaiting Tsubaki’s answer.

Kamui stood still as he heard hoof steps coming towards him, even though he was about less than less half a mile away. He didn’t want to give out his position. After all, he actually had something planned. In which was already taking place as he grinned. With seeing the figure of Tatsumi Storm up close, made his heart skip a beat. Since Tatsumi was again, a well-known student whose name reigned upon the other top students of the school. ”Heh, both!” Exclaimed Kamui as he sent bomb arrows at Tatsumi and had already sent some way over the trees to where the girls are.
As Akarui nudge Sebastian, they moved a bit backed to the usual spot before the incoming of the arrows. And of course she wasn’t going to leave them behind. Along with her already knowing that the others aren’t going to leave either in a time of this situation. Although, something did caught Akarui’s eye as she looked at the outer arrows that weren’t effected by of Storm’s attack. There was some arrows that seem have survived the causalities but they were a bit different…
Only one problem was that another few arrows have come upon them once again. However, these shouldn’t be too hard to evade. So, looking closely as she could, squinted her eyes, Akarui felt like her heart just sunk into the pit of her stomach. The arrows that were coming at them and the arrows that weren’t hit had paper bomb attached! Furthermore, it literally surrounded them. At this point the part of the cliff they’re on could eventually just collapse and marking it their downfall. ”Um…girls, we have a big problem. WE’RE SURROUNDED BY ARROW PAPER BOMBS,” said Akarui as she was trying to think of a way to get out of this situation. Without wanting to just jump off of Sebastian and saving herself.
