Looking around from left to right at the entrance to the school's library building Nobuyori sighed a little. Recently he had been stalked by two strange women. One of them was technically his friend, a young woman named Suishoku, and the other was an apparent friend of Suishoku's who's name he could never seem to remember. Admittedly he and Suishoku did spend quite a lot of time together but as the medium built boy ran his fingers through his long, fake blond hair he couldn't help but be glad not to see either of them around. Sometimes he really did just need time to be alone. Sadly now that a lot of people knew he slept on the roof during classes he couldn't really hang out there anymore.
Nobu's bright eyes scanned around the circular building. It had a first floor full of desks to study and read in groups while rows of book shelves where off to the sides and on the walls. The upper level was a balcony looking down upon the desks that contained individual study desks and more book shelves. Supposedly the library had a basement, but nobody was ever allowed to enter it saved for a few key people. The library's reason for this was that they had a lot of delicate and old materials given to them by the shogunate, but the school rumors where that ghosts and demons hung out below the building. The thought of this made Nobu roll his eyes as he proceeded over to the book shelves. A very old book by a man named Musashi was a needed study material for one of his classes. He had read the five chapters on samurai combat as a freshmen, but one of this teachers wished to review it early on in the year. Looking around he asked a librarian to help him find it. The librarian was a green haired girl with short hair and height. Apparently she was a freshmen working here for the school.

Akarui had somehow fallen asleep while reading through some history books that she had took the liberty of to read. However, she realized that now wasn't the time to be all confused when so much school work needed to be done. Finally putting aside the books that she didn't need, Akarui quietly went to set the books back. Returning to where she was sitting before, she picked up her books and stacked them. Sincerely, she had forgotten, due to her falling asleep, she actually had papers all over for note taking and other information gathering. Quickly, Akarui gathered up her papers and put them into her bag. Grabbing her books, carefully and carrying them as best as she could, only to realize that they were just a little over her field of vision.
With no wasting time, Akarui also wanted to get one more book just to read but didn't know the title until she spotted a librarian, the green haired girl. As steady as she could, Akarui headed towards her. Suddenly, as she was finally approaching the girl Akarui felt her balance lost. "Wah!" sounded Akarui as she somehow bumped into someone. Sadly, she was too short to see who was incoming since the books where blocking her view. So much for the height but however due to Akarui's feeling bad that it was her fault, she quickly apologized, "I'm sorry." However, once her eyes saw who it was, Nobuyori Azai, she started to feel so tormented that it was him of all people she had to come upon! Why did it have to be him?! Anyone could have been okay, even that brat Kamui would have been fine but it had to be this annoying onmyouji! Not wanting to deal with this Akarui got onto her knees and started to gather up her fallen books.

Nobuyori was walking with the green haired freshmen towards the rows of books until suddenly a comet slammed into his body, knocking him to the floor. Looking up at the green haired freshmen she had gone wide eyed, with a look of concern about her face. Letting out a bit of a groan due to having something impact his ribs. His stuff went flying as he, his naginata, and the person who ran into him hit the floor. his robes got a bit scuffled and once again his hair got knocked out of place.
"I'm sorry" he heard quietly. As he looked at the person in his lap. Quickly the girl got off of him and began to gather her books as Nobu just starred. So far this made twice that a girl he had called a stalker had run into him. At close she didn't look like that bad of a girl. Had she not been such a creepy girl he would have found her cute. As soon as Nobu realized he had been starring at her he suddenly came to himself and he got on his knees to help her pick up her books. "You should be more careful" he said since the librarian was right there. In truth what he wanted to say was "IN THE LIBRARY ALSO! YOU COMPLETE STALKER!" but social appearances forbid such things. Instead he politely asked "How do you know Suishoku? If it is alright to ask?" not being able to hide a slight bit of aggression and uncomfortable tones in his voice.
They had met in the field around campus before the campus area was reduced. She had been with him as the ninja attacked the school. She was even around when he took that ridiculous ninja class. By all accounts they should have been friends since they had fought together, and both knew Suishoku, but the truth is they couldn't have been more distant. Nobu didn't have direct proof she was a stalker but he certainly thought it. Then again he also thought Suishoku was and now that girl was one of the only friends he had at the academy. Hence why instead of moving away from her he was now being kind enough to help her pick up her books.

"I apologize. My field of vision was being blocked," she answered back. Akarui couldn't believe it but he was literally speaking to her. And more than that, he asked her about Suishoku Yuubae. Hey, hey, isn't that pushing it a bit too far? If this was someone else entirely the so called "couple rumor" might have grown from just being a speculation. Besides that, not only has Nobuyori Azai had pissed her off, not just too long ago, but he seems to be too friendly at the most. Especially, having the nerve to ask about her knowledge about Suishoku Yuuabe was totally off the charts.
However, Akarui couldn't by pass this. While nearly having all her books gathered up, she took one of the them and whacked him in the head with it. Not giving a care who saw or whatsoever since she's been in such a negative mood everytime this guy was around giving off the "stay away from me you creep" feeling. "We only just begun to know each other before such events ocurred here at the academy. We met while bumping into each other at the candy store in the city," stated Akarui. Which all of it was true because who would have thought that they meet up like that anyway? Of course, under normal circumstances, you would have thought they have known each other since their freshman year but that wasn't the case. Considering how much Akarui made herself a loner way back into the first year.
As the books where stacked pack up, before she reached to pick up the stack again, she wanted to give Nobuyori Azai a glare but couldn't do so. All she had was an expressionless face but deep down she so much wanted to give more than just whacking him in the head with one of the books. While facing the guy, since it's the library Akarui softly added, "By the way, I'm not a stalker. I've been here in this library for hours sitting up there. I would have noticed if you were in here before me. I don't care who you are but as far as I can see is that you're an incompetent royalty brat with no common sense. And if I wanted to be a stalker, trust me, I rather be stalking Suishoku Yuubae then you!" With that, Akarui made sure she got all her books and started to picking them up while struggling because of her height and field of vision. Hoping that they don't fall again.

Nobuyori was trying his best to be an honest young man. He had bumped into a girl that was obviously stalking him in the library but didn't say a word of it. Instead he sat there, on his knees like a regular student, and helped her actually clean up her absurd amount of books. In return what did he get? Not only did she touch him, but it was an attack! She had struck him in the head with one of the very same books he was now helping her to pick up! Yes she had responded by answering his question but still she had struck him! Almost out of instinct he reached into his pocket and pulled out a few talismans. As they began to glow the look in his eyes said he wanted so strike down her very existence from the world for touching him.
To make matters worse she than went on a tyraid about how clearly she wasn't stalking him, and if she was a stalker she would most likely be going after Suishoku instead of himself. Nobu's eyes turned into a sharp glare dead fixed on her face. "First off, what the hell gives you the right to attack me with a book as I help you, the rude person who slammed into me and dropped said books, as I am helping you to pick them up. I am taking time to assist you and talk to you like a regular individual and yet you attack me! What kind of rude behavior! I can live with someone accidentally running into me, but for you to blatantly attack me like that!"
At this point a lot of the students in the library starred at the pair as the green haired girl lightly gestured with her hands for them to keep their voices down. Taking a moment to compose himself and stand up as the girl clearly did the same and turned away from him he said "Also, only a stalker start a conversation by talking about how she clearly is not stalking someone! I never said a thing about you being a stalker, and yet here you are saying you are not! All i sense is a guilty conscious! Also, to make it worse, you said "would rather be" stalking Ms. Suishoku. So clearly you are already have stalking in progress!" he couldn't help but yell as he felt the blood reach his face. He obviously hadn't heard the words "and if i wanted to be" spoken from her since it was directly after her saying he was a spoiled brat. His ears tended to block out such comments.
A moment later the realization hit him. Straightening his robes he said "I am far from a brat. The next time we have a combat class I would gladly prove it to you if that is what you wish. Sadly, of perhaps it is in your favor, I don't make a habit of attacking young women. Stalker or not." taking a deep breath he continued "Do you even realize the responsibilities and burdens i have? I am the future head of a half dead clan! Every single time i do almost anything I have to keep in mind what it means for not just my future but the future of everyone else that depends upon me! Do you know that stress?"
As he turned around to storm off, however, a small talisman slipped from his pocket and into the book pile as a tiny prayer left his lips. The talisman would keep the books strung together until they where properly put down. He had no intention of letting her hurt herself despite her completely rude behavior. It was part of his duty as a nobleman. Nobu may have had a massive chip on his shoulder, but it was true that he preferred using it to keep people at a distance from him.
Turning around Nobu looked at her "Perhaps next time you should more careful with your absurd amount of books! Who the hell reads that much?!"

Entering in the library this time was Suishoku herself carrying a book under her arm as she shut the door behind her. Just peeking from the corner of her folded arm was something that looked like a cook book. Rather than buying one or standing around at convenient store shelves reading through magazines, what better way to learn a bit more is the library. Genius this was but if it's cheap, go for it with this student allowance. Though she does admit to try using it more for studying. Homeroom studying is too hot in this summer weather.
Heading to the book drop to deposit the one currently loaned, the icon large blue coat of Onmyoujin-san got her attention and more so,his shoulders and disturbed ends of his hair in his overall stormy disposition. Wonder what got him moody? Another status jab? That usually gets him in a fast from what she observed. Well, what's wrong with trying to say 'hi' after all this? They're on...some better terms now though she honestly wondered why people started to look at her strangely during her venture to the library. Suishoku didn't think she caused a large stir but that can wait a bit longer.
Setting the book on the return counter, she lightly approached her fellow house members from behind and swatted his hair to a somewhat straighter form, curling her hand in a way for her wrist and fingers posed as if she was knocking on a door in what felt like natural movement. "Hey Onmyoujin-san. About to cast a limit break?" She asked casually while giving his back a light rap. If he was too angry, there's always other times to meet up with Building A being the most unavoidable.

That was it, Akarui couldn't stand it anymore. Not only had she lost it completely but was attention all on them now. Also, guilt arose at what she had said before since she also could have choosen better words respond with. However, without thinking before speaking this was the result that she got. And surprisingly, out of nowhere Akarui saw that it was Suishoku Yuubae who have also entered the library, all thanks to the heads that have become focused on her back to them. Ah, the tension, if only if things didn't turned out this way maybe there could have been better ways to dealt with this situation.
"Perhaps next time you should more careful with your absurd amount of books! Who the hell reads that much?!" After that shot from Nobuyori Azai, Akarui's tramatic events of when she was kid started to blur up her mind. The tragedy that led everything to where she is today. Despite trying so hard to not triger it herself, she didn't expect something like this would triger it anyway. After all, she grew up pretty much on books and what she loved doing also. It wasn't until she made friends as a kid way back that they taught her a bit about the world and such. However, when they died, it was all back into the books again. Suddenly, Akarui dropped her stack books to the ground and they fell over.
"I-I...I'm sorry. I-I'm not a stalker. I'm not...I'll J-just t-take the blame just p-please...stop. Books were like my best friends while grow...ing up. S-so I h-have nothing. Nothing. N-no...thing..." stuttered Akarui crying as she tried to stop crying and wiping her tears. Surprisingly, of course that would have gathered attention since it seems like something was obviously wrong. Furthermore, most of the people there were even surprised that the silence Akarui was showing emotions, she was crying?! It was like a miracle for some to even witness this situation. However, it would be best that the three were to get out of there though.

Instantly things had gone from going well to going terribly. Nobuyori Azai had gone from being on the full offense mode and feeling like he was winning to looking like the complete bad guy. Twice he had encountered the girl he thought was stalking him, and twice he had watched the girl he thought was stalking him hurt herself, and now twice he had felt like the bad guy. To make matters worse both women where now fully present, one behind him and one in front. Mentally Nobuyori couldn't help but curse the first few Buddhas he could think of. Due to the sudden change in the situation he didn't even notice the book stack falling in a perfect stack before falling over into of scattering due to the talisman he had slipped into the pile.
Dropping his head a little as the girl began to cry Nobu felt like the largest jerk in the world. To make matters worse he was looking like a jerk right in front of Suishoku. He had to do something to make himself look better. Looking at Suishoku for some sort of help he quickly grabbed his robe and wrapped it around the crying girl before picking up the book pile. "We should probably go somewhere else to talk about this before more awkward rumors start..." he said to the two girls.
Turning to Suishoku he said "I don't even know what happened. She bumped into me, then started talking about how she wasn't stalking me and how i was a brat. she hit me with a book, i pull talismans, and then she started crying because i called her strange for reading so much!" he was supposed to be both a gentleman and a clan head, and yet here he was making pretty much his only friend's friend start crying. He felt completely ashamed of his actions. Turning to the crying girl he said "Please stop. As the future head of my clan I strongly apologize for my clearly offensive words." he said before giving a slight bow to the girl. He had now completely forgotten about the book he was suppose to have come here to get.

It took Suishoku to look around Onmyoujin-san for her to believe it was Akarui the one that started talking in a weakened voice. Quickly this scaled to a whole different level of odd today and the murmurs around them was sure not going to help anything when someone is this vulnerable. Withdrawing her hand as he removed his coat to put it around the tearful girl, Suishoku nodded in agreement but still fairly lost on what happened to leave up to the other girl turning on the water works. Leaving out the front door was not an option with people still lingering in the hallway to cause up a commotion.
Looking around trying to think of somewhere to go, Suishoku sighed a bit that now Onmyoujin-san was making a splendor of an apology. That's all great and all but space is needed right now. For better or worse, Suishoku started to applaud the pair and speaking whatever popped in her mind. "Ah, good impromptu you guys. Let's do more practice for under cover more privately. Miss, we'll be on our way now." She spoke up as she went between the two of them and took Akauri by one hand and hooked her arms with Onmyoujin-san while he still held the books, dragging them further into the library. Where to go, where to go! Why there is only one place to hide at a time like this! The multimedia rooms!
Taking them to a far back room past some of the taller and thickly stacked shelves, Suishoku opened up the door and ushered them all inside the small room just enough for four people to sit on the floor or on a wooden bench built in on one side of the wall. Shutting and locking the door with her back pressed against it, the fogged glass making it impossible to see who is inside beyond blobbed figures, Suishoku sighed and tended to Akarui first if they were ever going to get anywhere. "Akarui, it's okay now. Just take some slow breaths and take it easy. No one can hear or see ya now. We're totally alone. It's all okay." She ugred calmly, having her sit on the bench with her, rubbing her back and the top of her head to try calming the girl.
With just Onmyoujin-san's side told to her and as much of what either of them has seen of Akarui, an argument between the two of them didn't look like the complete cause to make a stable girl like her cry. What she did agree on was him being provoked but what was it that he did on his part to trigger something? Strange for reading so much? The odd whimpering was something about books. Looking to the clan head then back at Akarui, Suishoku took a breath and waited till Akarui calmed down enough to talk; at the very least listen and nod being acceptable.

Today must have been the worst day of Akarui's life ever. Not only was she just trying to get some research done but enjoying her self time. Until, this onmyouji popped up and she had to also bumped into him with her stack of books. And then while not thinking before speaking, she had let her anger get the best of her. Not only that, Nobuyori Azai just had to go and triggered something she has grown into all her life. While her crying had started to die down, she was surprised suddenly when her hand was being held. So what now? Was she being led elsewhere? No matter, as long as it was a place that could at least save her face for now then it didn't matter where.
It wasn't until they seem to have reached a different part of the library that Akarui only just realized that she had been covered by a robe? Ah well, she was too busy being tramatized to be even noticing what on earth was going on until her feet had stopped moving. As the crying started to die down, she could hear Suishoku's voice?
"Akarui, it's okay now. Just take some slow breaths and take it easy. No one can hear or see ya now. We're totally alone. It's all okay."
While sitting down on the bench, Akarui just nodded and kept wiping away tears. Finally, calming down, Akarui sat there, emotionless again for a bit. "What a terrible day," said Akarui as she sighed. Only to actually realized that they were still in the library but in the multi-media section.

This day really had gone down hill fast. As Suishoku comforted the crying Akarui the three of them decided to go somewhere a bit less crowded. Slowly the trio made their way from the main area of the library into the multi media room. it was a small area off to the site of the main hall with things like screen and projectors in it. For a brief moment Nobuyori had felt cold without his usually clan jacket on, but the thought lasted only a second as he was focused far more on the crying girl in front of him. He couldn't simply say sorry right now, but at the same time he didn't know what else to say either. Instead he simply turned to Suishoku and asked "Is this, normal for her when it comes to books?"
In fact that was when the boy began looking around them. He had wrapped Akarui in his cloak, and the trio had run off, but the pile of books that was dropped still remained on the ground. Feeling it was best to leave the two women to talk out the problem together since they knew eachother better and Nobu himself had kind of caused the problem he politely excused himself to go find the stack of books. As he went towards the stacks he noticed a group of people had been watching the trio. Nobu, already frustrated with the situation, went to grab some of his talismans before realizing that they where all in his robe probably getting soaked due to the constant tears from the girl. In fact, he had even left his naginata in the bookshelves!
In almost a full sprint, getting a lot of confused looks from normal students and glares from the library staff, he rushed back to the spot where the impact happened just as what appeared to be a freshmen was reaching for his naginata. Looking up to see a pair of glaring eyes the freshman scrambled to his feet and dashed off as Nobu first picked up his weaon and then the stack of books. Trying the weapon to his back he set off back towards the mutli media room.

"Normal for anyone likes reading such as your pyramid of scrolls." She first answered Onmyoujin-san, trying to generalize enjoying reading materials to include him being no different from stack of scrolls to a stack of library books. She could have continued talking but Akarui started to say some actual words and started to calm down by now to say how horrible her day sounded. Yeah, this can count as half of those days. Half.
Staying by Akarui while Mr. Clan Head left to get some forgotten things, so she assumed anyway, Suishoku took a better look at her to note the little act of chivalry of Onmyoujin-san's coat on her. She chuckled to herself and mused quietly that it would be something he'd do. Feeling the sleeves a little, Suishoku took note in the odd weight of the hidden items within them before resuming to use her uniform sleeve to dab at Akarui's tear stained cheeks to make them less noticeable. "Things can be worse but I don't think he would go beyond a thunder storm. Though...did he really deserve the book thrown at him?" That part of the story honestly sounded funny to her so Suishoku tried to best not to look humored when asking. "He stepped out for a bit to get your books and stuff. Alright with hiding here for a bit? Figured you were the confident type whenever I see you. Did he hit a nerve? I'll burn his pancakes next time if it helps."

What to do in a situation like this thought Akarui. After all, Akarui would have never guess that she would ever cry out in public, especially in Bugei Academy of all places. Even more so, it was in the library. As Akarui finally came to her sense, she saw the cloak, realizing she hadn't gotten it dirty luckily. However, who on earth could carry so much stuff in such a thing?! "H-heavy," said Akarui as she started to remove the cloak from herself.
"Things can be worse but I don't think he would go beyond a thunder storm. Though...did he really deserve the book thrown at him?" In accordance to Suishoku Yuubae's question, Akarui thought for a moment as she finally removed the cloak to the side on the bench. From there she replied with the following, "Yes, he did." After all, she could have done a lot worse than whacking Nobuyori Azai in the head with just the book. However, Akarui was not also in the mood to get really deep why she was crying either but who knows, she just might have to in the end. More importantly though, this issue needs to be sorted out clearly obviously.
From there, Akarui for a moment, somehow, must have lost it because she laughed hysterically and suddenly came back to her normal straighforward self. "I see...and somewhat I guess. It's fine don't worry about it. Maybe next time I will just cocoon wrap him into fish bait," added Akarui.

As he walked back to the room Nobu had to constantly stop and look in front of himself. How did a girl like her move around so well with such a huge pile of books? on top of that he didn't have to worry about them falling over due to his paper seal. He couldn't begin to imagine how she did it without the books being held in place with magic. To make matters worse he felt so weird walking around without his cloak. He must have just looked like a normal, book obsessed student with a naginata on his back as opposed to an actual future clan head. This plus making her cry, he couldn't help but feel his ego die a bit with every step he took towards the back room. As he got closer to the girls he heard a laugh. Stopping for a moment he turned his body to see Akarui laughing as Suishoku talked to her.
"They really are cute girls." he said to himself for a moment before sighing and walking forward again. Not only did the books make it hard to see what was in front of him, but the number of books seemed fairly heavy as well. As he finally reached the girls he careful put the books down. he figured if he just let them go then both girls may stop laughing and instead turn to glare at him.
So now he stood in front of them. Pile of books in front of him, and naginata on his back, looking at the two girls. "I see you are laughing now." he said in a calm voice before sitting down on the floor. "Are you doing alright?" he asked her before turning to Suishoku with a look on his face asking her the same questions.

"Really? I wonder what book it was since you had so many with you." Suishoku chuckled while taking the clan robe from Akarui and folding it as neatly as she could with the odd little weights in the sleeves making it a little cumbersome as she took her time with the folds and listening to Akarui turn back to her normal self.
"I see...and somewhat I guess. It's fine don't worry about it. Maybe next time I will just cocoon wrap him into fish bait," she says. Suishoku laughed and nudged Akarui with her shoulder when she finally figured out how to fold the large coat and hugged it in her lap so the sleeves won't go flying out. "What kind of fish are you going after? That's too big yet..." She paused and keeled over a little, laughing in the coat as it reminded her from a cartoon she watched of a traveling group throwing over their long haired blonde friend while fishing because fish love something bright and long. It wasn't till Onmyoujin-san returned did she tried a bit harder to not laugh at him and sat doubled over his coat till she could manage to look at him sanely.
"W-Welcome back." she squeaked before sitting upright to take one big breath to compose herself. Standing back up, she smiled and handed him his coat once he set the books down. "I've come to the conclusion that," pauses for minor effect. "We're going to need more variety for breakfast." Looks to Akarui and back at him. "And that you shouldn't be carrying books taller than you're head. Til the coast is clear, I still vote it was all an event skit."
