CLASH! In the school building

One overhead light burst into life, followed by another, and another after that. It was a large room in the main building of the academy. As the lights all focused on the middle of the room it revealed a large, square arena with steps on both sides. Surrounding the arena was row after row of comfortable seating. This was the academy's famous arena where either individuals or groups of students would duel for honor and grades.

On the official schedule no bout was scheduled for today, but Azai Nobuyori cared little about this. Earlier in the morning he and another student he was living with in the dorms had clashed over what his family name meant, as his pride in his clan. Together these topics had infuriated the future clan head enough to walk into the arena, turn on the lights, and wait. He had told a series of people to inform Leto of this duel, and so now he waited for his opponent to appear. The fake blond boy, with his green eyes, blue and gold robes, and naginata in hand, awaited for his opponent.

Leto had admit he wasn’t surprised that Liz had called him out on a dual, but he didn’t expect it to be the same day. Seriously did that kid have nothing better to do, but then that was the trouble with nobles feeling they are entitled to everything. Leto was deck out in his full gear, his white battle cloths (the different from his normal was the reinforcement in places) his sword and his gun. However he wasn’t alone in heading to the arena for the messenger had decide to watch the carnage for herself. Melina had hear about the little bout and had ran straight for Leto, and of course she found him right way since she always knew where he was no matter what. A fact that Leto found odd but never questioned. As the pair reached the entrance Leto paused, let out a heavy breath then proceeded to put on his eye patch. If he was going to enter a fight he would be prepared and ready from the get go.

Weiss burst thought the door and walked into the arena as Melina found herself a nice corner to watch.
“You’re an idiot for doing this, you know that right.”

Kamui finally got his hand on some food after his family sent him some little extra cash. Even though it is was not what he had expected it to be. Since he was expecting more. While he was still feeding himself with one hand and the other holding his baggage of food, his ears were open. And the word spread to him like it was calling in the distance. So, in a flash he soon scurried over. There was no way he was going to miss a fight. Especially, since it was that onmyouji guy that he was getting into a fight with back in the city before he was knocked.

"HELL YEA!" exclaimed Kamui as he arrived. Such nogalistic feeling that he had not felt in awhile as he saw the arena. So...it was the onmyouji guy versus...the white knight - nice logic there. How will this battle turn out?

Akarui had just entered the arena and to no less of her expressions, it was irritating. So here was going to be a brawl over some namesake? If that was the case then obviously it only meant one thing...HE called for the fight. As Akarui came to a halt, the figures of the two that would be battling each other was Nobuyori Azai and Leto Weiss. With her arms crossed, she could not believe it and was hoping that her assumption was false. However, it was not - it was true. Although...why did she even bother to come? It was simple, she wanted to see the powers of Leto Weiss. She was not here for entertainment like the others but for information. Sides, from the information that she sort of "hack into the school" for a bit, Leto Weiss seems to be an interesting person.

"I wonder if the instructors heard about this too?" questioned Akarui out loud as the thought just came to her mind.

As Nobu stood waiting for his opponent, it turned out an entire group came in. Not only did his opponent show up but so did his apparent girlfriend, Akarui, and Kamui. The Azai boy couldn't help but death glare at Kamui. The two didn't have a rivalry, Kamui was just a sociopath that Nobu had previously almost fought to the death. Needless to say he wasn't very happy about Kamui getting to examine his fighting style against someone else in case the two fought again later.

As Leto walked on to the arena stage he had his sword, pistol, and armor ready. Due to being support Nobu didn't have much actual armor. He just had his school clothes, his clan robe, and a series of seals weaves inside the cloak to raise it's defense a little bit. Over all Leto was clearly a combat type but Nobuyori didn't care. This fight wasn't as much about winning as showing the insulting boy in front of him that he wasn't just some upstart pushover but instead an actual noble.
“You’re an idiot for doing this, you know that right.” Leto said to him.

"I could care less what you think. You insulted both my family and my pride." With that Nobu took a defensive stance. Naginata firmly in hands and a few papers seals sticking out from between his fingers.
"Come at me full force. We don't have time to play around before the professors arrive."

“So be it.”

As Weiss reached for his sword, time seemed to slow down as he took in his whole surroundings. The field was a large square surface, which meant there was a fair distance between him and Liz. Which could cause a problem since Weiss was the fastest fighter but then that’s where the sidearm came onto play. For the time being he would refrain from using it, for one shouldn’t use all their tricks from the get go.

The moment Weiss touched his swords things kicked off as he launched himself across the arena. At first it seemed like he was just running with his swords half drawn, however Weiss was just waiting till he was half way across the court to fully draw and simultaneously let off a Raiden’s Blade as the blade fully left the sheath. This would allow two things to happen, the first being giving him some cover a he advanced since Liz would have to either deal with it or dodge. To which he would find Weiss already on top of him. The second being if the wave hit the resulting explosion (the after effect of the Raiden’s Blade is a concussive sound wave, think of it as a stun grenade that disorients a person) would leave him open to a follow up. Either way Weiss would have the advantage.

Melina wasn’t surprised that an audience had shown up, since this was a prime opportunity to studies potential opponent’s abilities. So far there were two Kamui Sakamoto, an annoying brat and Akarui Tachimukau, simply put Melina didn’t like Akuri.

I wonder if the instructors heard about this too?
“Oh I wouldn’t worry about that”

Kamui did not know who the girl (Melina) was but he had a strange feeling coming from her. What could it be? Heck, could be possible that she was one of those two guys' girl? No way, he never heard of such a thing - like he ever cared in the first place to begin with. Taking a finished bite of the bread he had, he digged into his bad and found a sandwhich. Again, he took a bite and chewed and focused back on the battle. After all, he was here to check out how strong the white knight dude was - has a bad memory of remembering people's names.

"This could get intense," said Kamui to himself while grinning.

For a moment Akarui thought she was hearing things. That was of course until she looked and saw that this girl (Melina) had converse with her. Never before had Akarui even seen this girl and yet something about her was just normality. However, it was strange...most people stayed away from Akarui and did not bother with her at all. Even more so, this female out of the blue popped out of nowhere too. Unless, she was here before but she was not among the people that Akarui was herding with nor did she even see her there when they all entered. Unless...it would make sense that she came with one of them...

"And you are?" asked Akarui as she turned facing the girl. Even though she would rather be watching the battle instead but in this case, to not face someone while talking was considered rude - as she was taught. In the end though, Akarui knew she would be able to rewatch the battle again, in another way.

The fake blond ignored the comments in the crowd. Right now Nobuyori's only thoughts where on the jerk in front of him. Leto smirked and began his attack. Admittedly he had been expecting Leto to try and use the pistol in his hand but instead the boy put the pistol away. Nobu's eyebrows moved up a bit until Leto had reached halfway across the field. Withdrawing his sword about half way he released a large wave of energy directly at Nobuyori.

"I already saw this move when you cut into the ninja battle a few months back. It will end the same." already knowing the attack Nobu quickly put let the paper seals out of his hands to create a large clan seal in front of himself in order to block the attack. With the seals now out of his hands Nobu then began to move towards his own barrier, weapon raised. The logic was that the attack and barrier would cancel out, which would leave himself and his opponent slashing at eachother's vitals.

Nobu moved directly behind his barrier. Between the future clan head's energy barrier, and his opponent's energy attack, the two boys would barely be able to see eachother as Nob planted his left foot in front on him, moving his right leg back and his arms back towards his right. The moment he saw Leto it would be a strong swing with his naginata directly at Leto's stomach.

I already saw this move when you cut into the ninja battle a few months back. It will end the same. The boy explained as the moron put up a barrier and proceeded to stand behind it.

“And here I thought you were just a masochist.”
However there was difference between then and now. For now he would feel the full effect of the attack. As the wave crashed into the barrier and loud thunderous band ripped through the arena. The barrier had done its job and stopping the initial attack but this attack had a one off in the even it was blocked hence the bang. And it was for that reason that Weiss had attacked even before he completely closes the distance for the moment the after bang went off he transitioned into phase two. Quickly pulling out his gun Weiss rapidly fired six shot in Liz’s direction as he continued blade forward towards his enemy. Either one of the six would hit or his blade but one thing was for sure something would hit.

Melina didn’t even bother looking at Akarui instead she kept focused on the battle.
“No one you need to be concerning yourself with Akarui.”

She really didn’t have time to deal with the girl for her job her was analysing the fight and its fighters for the professor. But she did had to laugh at Leto’s fighting style, instead of using his gun as a ranged weapon he was using it for close quarter. Which would be a surprise to most since they would never thing of doing that. But that’s the thing she liked about Leto his ability to adapt to any situation and find some sort of advantage.

"Masochist?" laughed Kamui along with the other people. It is not like the concept of this fight was anymore obvious then what it was originally meant for.

What a scene alright! Kamui would have never thought to experience such a thing in his lifetime. However, now he did...and was even more interested to see what is up next. Even though he would probably forget all of what he is seeing anything. Sides, the kid does not realize that he is bad at remembering stuff - especially people's names. Although, when something caughts his interests, that is another whole story. Which would make him go to any lengths to achieve that of something.

“No one you need to be concerning yourself with Akarui.”

Well, now that felt like something she usually got. Turning back to face the battle now, Akarui could not comprehend it. This girl was so fixated on the battle somehow. Unless, she had ulterior motives... With that thought in mind, Akarui was now assuring herself that this girl was here to gather information. Anyway, taking out her cellphone, Akarui opened it and what spawned up was the underground online forum. It was talking about the fight between Nobuyori Azai and Leto Weiss. Posts after posts, even the movements was being recorded in words. Which was why Akarui was not too disappointed if she missed a few of the battle.

As Nobuyori stood behind the barrier waiting to slice his target in half a sudden burst of sound shot through the entire arena. Apparently Leto's blast wasn't just an energy attack but also a sonic boom upon contact. Instantly Nobu's barrier shattered as he recoiled from the loud noise. Planting both feet firmly and gritting his teeth he looked up to see Leto, both pistol and sword in attack stance, coming at him.

"No time for another barrier" Nobu thought to himself. First off the technique needed cooling down, but also it would just end up the same way. As six shots plus a sword came his way the thoughts on what he could do where running low. He could take the attacks, slightly heal himself, and try to swing but that wouldn't change anything. Right now the balance of power was clear in this fight.

"Its not like the people watching haven't seen me do this already..." he said to himself. Dropping his naginata on the ground in front of him he planted his feet and brought both of his hands together to focus. A mass of swirling paper seals caught Leto's bullets in air as the mass of seals began to form a large ball. First, long and paws slowly formed, then a spine, then a full lion's head as the beast, despite not having vocal cords, somehow let out a loud roar directly in front of Leto's face.

A few sweat drops began to roll down the front of Nobuyori's face. Even forming the lion creature was difficult as it required use of almost all of his paper seals as well as forming a solid, moving shape with them. As the large beast starred down Leto the multiple talismans making up it's body where already starting to glow a ghostly blue as they became filled with energy.
"Sorry, I was going to have it chase you around but neither of us have time for that." by we the people in the crowd would probably think that he meant Leto and himself, but in truth he meant himself and the lion.

Well this can’t be good
A swirl of papers was never a good thing, especially when they block bullets and form an evil ball thing. The worst part was that he was now staring down a giant glowing paper beast.
Sorry, I was going to have it chase you around but neither of us have time for that.
“You sonvu…”
Weiss was half through his sentence when the beast leaped, pinned and exploded.
Liz was turning into a tricky bastard, but then so was Weiss. He may have been pinned to the pinned to the ground but that would stop him from reloading his shots, the explosion of blue flames was just pure luck. The up side to his Mist Caller ability as it sucked in all the air and the blue flames with it. However an explosion was and explosion and it was like he was flame proof. Weiss was clearly hurting; his ears were ringing, vision blurred and blood dripped from his tattered clothes.

“You’re gonna have to try a lot harder than that if you gonna kill me.”
It wasn’t the best circumstances for either fighter to be in. Weiss was bearly standing and Liz was on the verge of exustion. Then again that’s when ones true abilities flourish.

At the sight of the clash, Kamui felt like his blood boiled to his awe of the battle. Each move was like a trance to him. Minus the fact that he was still eating and watching as though this was like a show for him. However, deep down he was holding his urge to want the fight itself. Since, somehow the thrill is what that drives him to his sanity of love to see the blood and the feeling of the strengths clashing.

"Heh, beautiful... said Kamui as he saw the dripping blood.

Akarui was also entranced by the fight. Since she had almost nearly gotten to see the full potential of Nobuyori Azai's powers the last time - during the brawl back in the city between Kamui and him. However, what even drew more of her attention was Leto Weiss. Not only was his style of fighting still hold a mystery but even the impact that he took from the attack barely pushed him down. That just goes to show that he either is strong or has strength of determination. Looking back to her cellphone once again, Akarui could see that the fight would be awhile. In the end, she would have to see it all in personal but she had to leave to do something. Although, she would get ways to view the battle again in some other ways. Sincerely, she left as some of the people got riled up at Leto Weiss's condition.

Almost instantly after being summoned the beast and stopping Leto's bullets the lion began to glow a bright blue. The illumination lit up the entire arena before it pounced on top of Leto and burst into a massive pillar of blue spiritual energy. It was like an explosion at point blank.

Nobu's vision blurred as he dropped to his knees. Sweat drops began to fall like slowly from his face to the arena floor as he breathed hard. Unlike with Kamui he had learned to summon and use the beast's ability without passing out but it still took a lot out of him when used. Looking at his opponent his vision blurred a bit to show two, then three Leto before the images all merged back into one.

Leto was also fairly bloody but still found the energy to be cocky apparently
“You’re gonna have to try a lot harder than that if you gonna kill me.” Leto said to him.
Nobu picked up his naginata and glared at his opponent.
"This wasn't about killing you. It was to show you that I'm not just some weakling that hides behind the name of his clan. I am a warrior just like anyone else here. DO YOU UNDERSTAND?!" right now the boy was running off almost pure aggression and adrenaline as he took up a defensive stance and waited for Leto's counterattack.
"I AM NOT JUST SOME WEAK, POMPOUS NOBLE!"

This wasn't about killing you. It was to show you that I'm not just some weakling that hides behind the name of his clan. I am a warrior just like anyone else here. DO YOU UNDERSTAND?!

“Is that so…”
Liz was just out for something to prove, however it seemed more like he was just trying to himself rather than to Weiss.
“Fine let’s just see how strong you are.”
There was no point in continuing this battle for there was nothing more to gain from it. Weiss made a quick glance to the crowd, he need to if she had gotten enough data from the battle. He hate if in the end he’d get scolded for ending it too soon. However he got the sign which ment.
“Prepare yourself Liz for this ends NOW.”
At first it looked like Weiss had given up as he holstered his weapons but that was only to help him focus, for he hasn’t gotten to the point of full control over the shroud yet. It only took a few second for that Azure shroud to form over him; luckily it wouldn’t have to sustain it long. For in a blink of an eye the azure blur had already moved unleashing a hell storm of slashes upon its prey. Weiss’s over burst worked in a twofold attack, first was the increased blinding speed granted by the Dragon Alter the second was the ability to unleash a multitude of slashes upon an enemies from which he could either escape from nor block for that was the Tempest Dance. a devastating two parter that when combined spelled doom form a single foe.

Returning to his original spot the shroud faded, as Weiss panted from exhaustion.
“Fall into despair, for the One-eyed Dragon has come for thee.”

"Bloody hell..." said Kamui in awe.

He was not expecting such a battle like this to come to the point where their abilities would be nearly used to their extent. Of course, if the two of them have come this far, it only meant that something more was to be expected. Even the onmyouji guy - forgot his name - that he tried to fight back in the town. For now, Kamui could see that with the battle he is watching, these two are for strong. Not just strong but way strong than what he might have imagined them out to be. Especially, the white guy because he tends to show more power that seemingly leaks out ever seconds. Oh, how much Kamui would love to get into a battle with him.

Taking another bite of a new bun he awaited for more from the fight. This was so pleasurable that if he was to be thrown out of here or blast by something, he would not even dare leave. The battle here might have been brought about by one of the two for their own reasons but to Kamui this was like watching life versus death almost. Grinning, he almost felt for a laughter out of himself but it did not come out as it somehow stopped when he saw the white knight guy waltz back into place. Now things have escalated beyond interesting.
