Leto’s life was rather hectic now a days, will all the lessons, mission and just the general nature of being at a prestigious academy that he had little time to enjoy the finer things in life. Today however was different and therefore special, today Leto was simply able to relax and enjoy his book. The book was nothing special but the combination of it and the warm sun accompanied by a gentle breeze left nothing to be desired.
He had found himself a simple bench on a small walk way slightly out of the way; from there he would still see that happening around him but still far enough way as to not get caught in them. Now it wasn’t like he was trying to avoid people but when one obtain a moment for themselves most don’t squander it by searching for well anything. Even as he read Leto couldn’t help but look out on to the people as they ebbed and flow. Sometimes there were many other times few, all different all individual and yet still part of a greater system.
Leto let out a heavy sigh, for he didn’t know a single one of them. Besides his dorm mate whom he rarely saw as it was, he really didn’t know anyone at the academy. A small feeling of sadness started to swell within him, however he quickly pushed it way. He had a reason for being there and making friend and socializing was not it. Leto returned to his book as a small breeze passed over him, bring with it…

Akashi was walking around the campus, carrying a bag of sweet hard candies. Not too long ago, he finished a mission that was in the outskirts of Osaka. There was quite large amount of teenagers walking about. Then again, it was the first month or so of the school year. There was no doubt that many of them would be sent on lower leveled missions for hands on experience. As he continued to walk on campus, he noticed a familiar boy sitting on a bench, reading a book.
"Oh, Leto-kun," Akashi said to himself, his voice hidden by the banter created by the other students. Having nothing else to do, he walked towards the back of the bench, likely remaining unnoticed. His eyes started to silently look over the work of literature, trying to figure out what Leto was reading. Deciding to be somewhat friendly, Akashi took out one of the sweet smelling candies, holding it out front. In this position, Leto should've been able to notice that he was behind the bench.
"Do you want one?"

Searching around the campus, Suishoku kept her mind busy about these talismans sported around the school. Most of the did seem for show so she figured maybe stronger ones are located elsewhere than the ones in plain sight. "Course there's always room for error," she chuckled dryly. With her amateur knowledge, maybe going back to onmiyouji-san would have been a better idea in this case. Breaking one of the large left over waffle wafers and sticking half of it in her mouth, she nibbled on it while scanning around the campus.
Her pace slowed down to a halt as she saw a couple of guys across the way. One laying on a bench and another that seemed to be a familiar figure. Maybe they know a bit about the paper wards, or could just be 'guys' and never really paid much attention at all to them. Quietly she grumbled and ate the rest of the cookie in sharp crunches. Never know till you ask, right?
Taking one last look around the campus, Suishoku strolled over to the open side of the bench. Once she arrived, her held her snack bag at her side, shifting her steel eyes down at the bookish one to the red head behind the bench. Heaving a sigh to calm herself, Suishoku raised her free hand briefly in greeting, "Afternoon, am I interrupting anything?"

Leto wasn’t surprised when he heard a familiar voice going, Do you want one?
For even when reading Leto was still very perceptive of his environment, and that being the case there were few people who could sneak up on him even on a good day. “Sure.”
Leto didn’t look up instead just lifted his free hand to receive what he assumed would be some sort of strange candy, for of all the people that could sneak up on him it would only be Aki his dorm mate that would then announce his presence.
“I’m surprised to see you around here; I thought you were still off on a mission.” Since Aki was a third year he was usually sent off on the more difficult mission, and because of that Leto would go days without seeing him.
There was no time for an answer for short after another presence presented itself. Afternoon, am I interrupting anything?
Leto closed his book and placed it on his lap before he engaged the new figure in conversation. “Not at all my dear, my associate was just about to offer me one of his sugary treats.”
Leto wondered if this girl had come gain information or conversation, since that’s the only reason anyone approached anyone at the academy. He quickly examined her to find a hint to her motive but he couldn’t get past those steel eyes. He wasn’t sure why but those kinds of eye unsettled him, he wasn’t sure why but that color made it feel like they were piercing his soul. “Now then is there something we can help you with?”

The boy placed a piece of sweet candy into his roommate's hand. Leto seemed to be surprised that Akashi managed to get home so early from his mission. It wasn't that high leveled of a mission, being a level 3 one. Normally, students of third year were sent on much higher missions. However, it was still early into the year. Because of this, there wasn't many high leveled missions to take on quite yet. Luckily, the targets for his mission were a bit on the dumb side, which made it a lot easier than usual. Before he could tell Leto, a female approached the duo.
"Hello," Said Akashi, giving a small wave to the girl even if she wasn't that far away. Afterwards, he looked at his bag of candy and then back to the girl.
"Would you like a piece?" He asked her.

Finding the two boys to be friendly, Suishoku even opened her snacks and held it up along with the red head. "Sure, I'll trade you a waffer for yours." Taking two pieces out, leaving it up to them if they're going to share it amongst themselves or not.
“Now then is there something we can help you with,” the one on the bench spoke up. Despite the polite question, she too could tell he felt uneasy about something. Not knowing what the reason could be, Suishoku ignored the option to ask. Her attention then shifted between the two to try giving them both equal attention, feeling it might be ill form to ignore either one. "I doubt what I am going to mention is of importance so fill free to voice a decline after hearing." She paused to see if her condition was understood and continued. "I'm checking around the campus to see how many talisman wards I can find or if more has been added since last year. Rather decorated with them in a way for a military school. What do you think they're even for?"

Popping the candy in his mouth, Leto decided to just let Aki take the waffle things. “You must have a lot of time on your hands if you’re searching those things out.” Leto let out a heavy sigh. He had seen them around the school and until now he never gave it much thought. Then again there was a good reason for that, it was quite obvious they were there for a reason which in no way could be a good one.
“If you want my honest opinion, those things give off a bad vibe. Now I have no idea why they’re there but I do have a theory. I believe it has something to do with all the descendants walking around. Power calls power and with this much walking around something really powerful and really dark could be called here. I don’t know if you’ve felt it but there is a dark power that dwells within these lands, and if I were a betting man I’d say those seals of yours have something to do with it.”
Leto tilted his head to the sky; there was much they didn’t know. No one knew how the items the descendants used are created little lone why they are created. So many mystery’s still unsolved. “Like I said only a theory. But if I were you I’d be careful who you ask about such things. For some questions shouldn’t be asked and some secrets shouldn’t be discovered.”

The two teens quickly traded one treat for another, leaving Akashi two wafers to nibble on. The girl then asked the two about the talismans that could be seen around the school area. From what Leto said, it sounded like it could be possible that these charms warded off any dark spirits that may try to attack the students. The boy finished one wafer before beginning to speak.
"It's possible that the talismans let teachers to view the campus easier in someway. There's not many video cameras in the school, so it would seem like they need some way to keep an eye on us, especially since the Tokugawa and Toyotomi could cause too much trouble," Said Akashi before beginning to eat his second wafer. It was true. The two factions were fairly aggressive against each other, and the school couldn't risk students fighting over those matters (as of now that is).

Trading the treats and listening to the book boy's reasoning, Suishoku looked very interested in both of their ideas. A theory of something dark sealed under the school or maybe just under Osaka and the school is a focal point from the reincarnated spirits walking around here. She rubbed her chin in thought and muttered,"So there is something evil. Is the government going to do something drastic like that one game to summon something evil back into the world" The idea of a large sacrificial move was worrying as it was unrealistic. The government has been working this way for awhile now but doesn't look like there was any goals to do that. "That's too much of a work force to lose..."
Her mind shifted gears to work on the red head's idea. Security cameras? Like who in anime the bad guys always seemed to watch the heroes from a crystal ball of sorts or always been watching through multiple monitors. "Like cameras? Never thought of it like that. So maybe they could be watching everyone in the castle base. To study use though? Make sure no one goes rouge? Maybe no on campus murders even? Wonder if one of the teachers run it or maybe the principal...." She spoke with an odd sense of hope of it preventing murders. Sure she might be the only one thinking about it but if that were true, she could certainly sleep better at night. Both ideas sounded very good to consider and even more so did the two encourage her to ask other people. "If only onmiyouji-san was here to listen to you two. You guys also seem close. Roomies, right?" Suishoku felt to throw her guess out at this point. Two guys around together, don't seem to share the same interests for having a book and a bag of candy out, military academy; why not think they're dorm mates?

Leto wasn’t sure where she got the idea of summon evil came from, since his theory was it was all a preventative measure but misunderstanding do happen especially with wishful thinking. Aki did also raise a good point with his theory, but the academy was neither lacking in funds or man power and besides that was a lot of unnecessary work especially since the Tokugawa had many spies as it is and their soul purpose was to watch from the shadows. In the end it really didn’t matter to Leto that much since he had little interest in politics and neither was the apart of the feud what’s so ever, he was a simple outsider and planned to keep it that way. ”Yes we are dorm mates, I’m Leto Weiss and this charming fellow behind me is Akashi Saito.”

It seemed that they finished talking about the talismans. Afterwards, Leto introduced himself and Akashi to the girl. The red head gave a small smile and looked at the girl.
"It's nice to meet you...uhh...." He said before his face shifted to one of confusion. That's right, she knew their names, but the duo didn't know what her name was.
"What's your name?" What would the trio do after that question is answered? Maybe they would walk somewhere? Or perhaps there was another discussion that needed to take place before anything else?

"Suishoku," The girl answered straight away upon the question just as she was about to give them her name in return. "I was gathering some ideas about all these paper wards around because they seemed interesting. I'll also be sure to share your thoughts and see what else I can gather from that. Sorry it was random so you don't have to go burning our your brains on my behalf." Taking a better look at the candy she traded with Akashi, she tilted her head to one side and ate it with a small comment of how there are more daring students willing to go out of their way for a piece of candy. "Maybe there should be a confection club from so many leaving campus."
As she ate the candy, her head looked about restlessly for something with her mind still thinking about the talismans. Their casual talk, if anyone could call it that, quickly grew thin on what was more to say. It's a school of strangers just doing their part to bold into the government with extra spiritual activity on the side. "Wonder what is the point of all this." she uttered in frustration of the involvement of reincarnations and spirits when the government could just rule as they are. They won the war and today became today but why did the matter just seemed so irksome of what could be the larger meaning.

Apparently the girls name was Suishoku, Leto would try to commit that to memory but that would last since he had a tendency to make names up for people anyway. As he sat their listening to maul over things he felt his phone go off. Quickly checking it despite some people considering it to be rude but wasn’t a personal use thing but rather business related. Now is that that interesting.
Snapping the phone shut an interesting theory popped into his head. “Well it looks like you get your answers soon rather than later Hoki. It seems the Siao shall be paying a visit to our humble little academy.” He had to admit it was rather convenient timing, and he would never say it out loud but he was quite interested in this Siao character. “I have to say things just got a whole lot more interesting.”

The familiar buzz of a phone's vibration motor brought her eyes away from Akashi back to Leto. Waiting for him to announce what his message was, he was right to say that things are going to be interesting. The Siao coming to their school and not a local priest? Very special treatment this year, thought the sudden Hoki term caught her off guard. Hoki? Suishoku raised a brow at this and wondered where did that possibly have come from. I don't think any written form of my name leads to that sound.....I don't think.[/i] Shaking her head at Leto, the girl went on to correct him during her input. "It's Suishoku, not Hoki. Also, the Siao is really coming to the school? That is some convenient news. I wonder if we're allowed free question and answer sessions with the Siao during their visit."
Folding her arms loosely, Suishoku couldn't help to tack on another question for him. "How did you get that news?" At the current time being, her phone is mainly left in the dorm room to collect messages from the family in case they want to leave one.

“I’m sure there will be some sort of itinerary, but honestly I have no idea I guess it would all depend on the true nature of the visit.”
That’s where the truth of the matter laid, for he was fairly sure there was a hidden agenda but whatever that was, was still hidden from him. Leto didn’t get long to ponder the idea when another question was raised. How did you get that news? A small evil smile crept along his face. “Information is a powerful thing and one can truly never have enough, hence why it’s a good idea to have inside sources.” Especially at this academy. The combination of powerful almost supernatural beings and two opposing factions always on the brink of war, it helps to be informed. “Unfortunately Hoki, I can’t say who so don’t bother asking.”
It wasn’t clear if the whole Saio thing was omen for darker days to come or just a simple show of power. One thing he could be sure of is that he had a lot of work ahead of him. He need to meet this Saio person for a reason even he didn’t understand.
