Character Name: Raimaa Futago

Gender: Female
Birthday: 13 Oct
Birthplace: Bizen
Clan: None
Year: First
Track: undecided
School Clubs: Kendo Club
Dorm: Seikatsu Dorm
Weapon: None, on arrival. But, has a strange drawing to a Daisho
Hair: Short, roughly around shoulder length, and a soft red. Despite what most people think, the red is actually her natural colour, rather than any sort of dye. It isn't a vibrant red, but it is still red enough to stand out in a crowd of japanese people.
Eyes: Raimaa has normally shaped eyes, but both of them are a more muted red than her hair, but still red enough to be red.
Build: Lithe
Voice: Soft, and rarely heard.
Height: 5'12"
Weight: 140lb
Casual Clothing/appearance: Raimaa is rarely seen out of the School Uniform, as if it is the only set of clothes she has. Which, is quite right, actually.
Combat Clothing/appearance: : Raimaa uses a modified Shinto Priestess uniform she found around the school, finding it sardonic of the universe to hand such a thing to her, but not turning it down due to the practical application. The armour plates are well positioned, and do not cover the whole of the skirt, allowing her to move as she would normally.
Inventory/accessories: Her Relic
Personality: Very cold and withdrawn, most people might mistake Raimaa for someone who thinks herself about everyone at first glance. However, if someone perseveres, and pushes past the seemingly aloof front, they will quickly come to realize that her personality draws from an entirely different source that being a snooty cow. She doesn't actively turn people away, or in any way try to insult them, she is just, very much apart from the rest of the world. She seems to react to gaoding and plesantries with the same, emotionless manner, but if pushed to far by someone, she can snap and become hysterical.
Likes: Being alone. Reading. Her Relic
Dislikes: Disrespecting Priestesses, and people who do such.
Ambitions/Goals: To return to a stable mindset, and a happy life.
Habits/Mannerisms: Raimaa is very quiet, most of the time, content to watch and listen. When drawn into conversation, she is formal and polite, but with such solid structure it makes her seem cold and distant.
Strengths: (3 to 5 things your character is good at. Must have equal weaknesses.)
- Physically Fit: The Life of a Shinto Priestess is not an easy one. So, while not as demanding as some jobs, it has kept Raimaa fit and spry over the years.
- Quick to Learn: Whatever the lesson, Raimaa has little problem picking up the theory. Applying said theory, however, takes much more time.
- Spiritually Potent: Raimaa can connect to her Relic on a very powerful level, even without much effort being put into it. While certainly helpful - and it saved her life - her mindset can put her at odds with it, sometimes.
- Physically underwhelming: While fit from her near-decade of being a Priestess, she has not developed any muscular structure beyond naturally being active, which puts her at a disadvantage against better honed people - which is to say, most of them.
- Broken: Raimaa can often be seen staring off into space with an incredibly sad look on her face, regardless of where she is.
- Conflicted: Raimaa does not really know about herself anymore. She is trying to decide whether she should remain within her Priestess mindset and eschew violence, or discard it in favour of the Relic's desire to Fight

Original Owner: Miyamoto Musashi
Clan: Miyamoto Clan
History: Miyamoto Musashi is considered by some to be the Greatest Swordsman in the World, Ever, and thus one of the most well known Samurai, as well as being a Buddist. At the age of 13, he won a duel against a man called Arima Kihei, an Adept from the Shinto-Ryu school. It is said that he never lost a single duel, and he also created the Ni-Ten Ichi Ryu school. It is believed he was part of the battle of Battle of Sekigahara on the Western army side at the age of sixteen, but his actual participation has never been confirmed.
The most famous duel of Miyamoto's life was against Sasuki Kojiro, but there are several different variants of this duel. Some claim he arrived late to antagonise his opponent, and made his weapon out of a spare oar while getting to the fight. It is also in question weither he intented to kill Sasuki, but despite the lack of solid confirmation, it is still seen as one of the high-lights of Miyamoto's dueling carrer, if not life. Towards the end of his life, he wrote three books. The Thirty-five Instructions on Strategy, his most famous 'The Book of Five Rings' and The Way of Walking Alone.
Sacred Item: Mala (Buddist Prayer Beads)
Activate Ability 1: Ryūsui (Flowing Water): A two-point strike that is swift and fluid, using the force and momentum of the swing to carry the blades, rather than abruptly snapping back to a stance. The large blade is wide and sweeping, while the small blade takes advantage of holes created and stabs with precision.
Activate Ability 2: Modoru (Return): A Counter-blow that works with the Niten Ichiryu style. The large blade deflects the attack, while at the same moment, the small blade strikes out, to catch the target off balance.
Activate Ability 3: Taiyō no kagayaki (Sun's Glow): This ability puts the Sun into the target's eyes, blinding them and opening them up for a strong, finishing blow. This ability activates regardless of the time, or location of the fight.
Passive 1: Niten Ichiryu Style: Due to her Relic's influence, Raimaa is granted perfect Ambidextirity, and can be used in all walks of life, but most often used to duel-wield weaponry without a disadvantage.
Passive 2: Arrogant Aggrivation: Raimaa's relic allows her to naturally irritate, or aggrivate anyone who faces her in combat. This gives her the advantage as a frustrated target leaves openings and misses opportunities that a fighter with a clear mind would miss, and presses the attack when it would be better to play defensively.
OverburstColor: Purple
Overburst Power: Take Over: Raimaa submits entirely to the Will of the Relic, gaining amazing physical abilities (Plus 1 Letter Grade to Strength, Speed, and Agility) for a duration, but having simulated Neuralgia after it passes, along with the standard Overburst drawbacks. Can be used for 20 minutes in total, per day.
Support: Busen Fitzlaus: German Author, Raimaa's finacial backer.
History: Born with a strand of Albinoism; Raimaa had muted red eyes from the moment of birth. Unfortunately for her, Raimaa's parents superstitiously took this for a sign she was possessed by an Akuma, and travelled a fair distance to a Shinto temple, placing the babe in their so the would never have to be reminded what they had made.
The Priestesses of the temple where much more friendly to the now-orphan girl, even when she started to grow red hair, of more vibrance than her eyes, but still not loud. However, it was loud enough to stand out in any crowd she cared to be in. There was never any untoward hatred for the girl, and she managed to get along quite nicely with the people in the temple, growing and learning everything she needed to. As the Temple relied rather lightly on the technology of the present era, most of the work was done manually, which kept everyone, including Raimaa, rather fit and active, if not physically strong.
In the village, the people where less immidiately acceptive, and more shocked when Raimaa first came to the town. But, they quickly found out the girl was almost obsessively helpful, and had an unsmirchibly cheery persona. So, they broke under her endless tide of friendship, and accepted the girl, strange as she might appear.
The life Raimaa then led was a good one, if a basic one. She never had any wants beyond casually wondering about the village Kimonos. Her own red and white gown was nice, but there was always a base curiosity in her.
One day, a large breasted german writer appeared, appearently researching for her new book. When she saw Raimaa, the young Shinto girl thought she was in for another round of 'I look strange but am nice'. This was not the case, as the writer - who introduced herself as Busen Filzlaus - found the hair and eyes amazing, and her uniform accented them, making her look beautiful. Raimaa had never been complimented with such genuine emotion, and she was quite taken aback by it. But, also she liked it a lot. To be so personally admired, Raimaa could feel her heart swelling with pride in her looks. She had never hated them, but didn't like the fact that they drove her from her parents. Under this woman, and across the days and weeks she stayed in the village, Raimaa found her mind shunting the blame from herself, to her parents, and they inability to accept her for who she was.
However, such days could not last forever, since a small group of Ikki appeared, beliving the Temple to be harboring Samurai and assisting the Damiyo beyond what they could allow. So, they attacked, the Priestesses and attendants being cut down rapidly, for they had no skill in fighting. Raimaa herself was cleaning out the room of hierlooms, and while also partally distracted by thoughts of Busen, and also by a Mala. She always wondered what Buddist Prayer Beads where doing in a Shinto Temple. Without really knowing what she was doing, she opened up the casing, and took out the beads, just in time for the small group of Ikki to burst down the door and try to kill the teenaged girl. But, a burst of purple fire from the girl made them pause, and that pause was enough for Raimaa, a passanger now in her own mind, to take out the Ikki with her broom. Each blow was efficent, and precise, taking them down or outright killing them in seconds. The broom itself was a sturdy thing, and eventually, there where no more Ikki, only death and a fire that the Ikki had started in their enthusiasm.
Raimaa felt herself directed out of the Temple, and then the purple Overburst vanished, leaving her body racked with extreme pain, too much for her, which caused her to pass out. Later, when she awoke, the Mala where still grasped tightly, and the situation was explained to her. They where a Relic from an old samurai, which made her a 'Scion' and thus she was sent to the Edo Bugei to learn how to control it. But, there was no emotion left in her, everyone was dead, aside from Busen who - the villagers said - had brought Raimaa from the burning Temple down to the village, and then left. The Edo Bugei was all that she had left, aso she made her way there, to see if this broken Ex-Priestess could make something of her life with the Mala Relic, and maybe see a return to her happy days. But, as it was, that was a dream far too far off.
