"Don't think I haven't considered it, although a car could hold me. I don't have quite the money for either, though. Not at this time. It might push me over the top if I did, though..."
"Why not a purposal to the school to put a small truck as something to use the misson credits on? I'm sure that this being your third year, you would have enough for one and use that for your deliveries?"
The idea seemed well and good but she already saw some minor troubles with hiding a small truck to be harder than stashing away a motorbike. Times are changing so maybe, in a far shot, the school could and senpai here would have something for his work. Looking down at his legs, from all he said about making those deliveries on foot, he'd have some tough set of legs.
"What's your delivery company called, senpai? Think I could get a discount if I said your name as a referal to use their services?"
Her mind considered it a good chance of a shipping alternative of club projects crafted at the dorm than carrying them all the way to the school to have the desk work out a shippment form. But wait, isn't she forgetting something really basic five miles back?
"Oh, right. I am second year Suishoku Yuubae. Sorry to ask your name without giving mine like that, senpai."

That was a pointer, caught him off guard too. Had to think on that for a moment. It wouldn't have to be anything special, just functional. The problem was that she was referring to A truck. One, singular, a company car so to speak. It wouldn't be at his disposal at will, only at times. True, it was a boon and an idea...but would it work?
"It's a thought, though I wonder if I'd be able to afford it on credit regularly. Needs work, but not a bad thought."
"What's your delivery company called, senpai? Think I could get a discount if I said your name as a referal to use their services?"
He shook his head.
"Shima Services is uncompromising in both rate and quality."
You get what you paid for, so for that price they have to guarantee the good quality that was worth the money. Simple business ethic. It was also the reason for the competing employees. For what they get paid and what they have to do, only the tops get a bonus while the rest just get regular wages.
"Oh, right. I am second year Suishoku Yuubae. Sorry to ask your name without giving mine like that, senpai."
"Not a problem."
He extended a hand.
"Third year, Jin Kazuya."

"Ah, those kind of companies..."
Suishoku openly sighed. There's no way she'd afford to ship things at her allowance, guess through the school is still the best method for a student to use. Well, it was worth a shot in asking but if senpai can't put in a word, the job must be serious work to follow a strict policy of money equal quality service. Wonder how the company has stood in this economy?
Looking down at his hand, not expected an informal appraoch of a greeting, she smiled anyway and took it in a light simple grip and gave it a simple shake as they introduced themselves. After their brief shake, she couldn't help to take note on the firm texture of his hands. Work at matrial arts perhaps got them like this?
"Barely holding them but good grip, senpai. Guess you perfer the hands on approach to things, Kazuya-senpai."
Lets go of his hand and keeps hers loose at her sides.
"Nice meet you, Kazuya-senpai. There's still time before classes to get something for breakfast."

"Ah, those kind of companies..."
Yes, one of those companies, the kind of job where a certain amount of professional attitude actually counts for something, where you get what you paid for and what you paid for is good service, where the parcel reaches the person in question in a timely manner or the employee's pay will be docked. You...get the idea. After all, most Japanese businesses are rather strict, so this wasn't at all a surprising thing to occur. If you have to ask how it stands...well...it does. People keep coming back for more. Many happy returns equals good business.
"Barely holding them but good grip, senpai. Guess you prefer the hands on approach to things, Kazuya-senpai."
He nodded with just a hint of smirking.
"In many ways, Yuubae-san."
To do things directly and with one's own hands was a more pure manner to live. And frankly, he got on well enough with people once they got to understand that he just wasn't the sort to do things any other way. He preferred honesty and straightforwardness to that effect, as there was nothing to really fear in life, only to be cautious of. She released his hand now and said...
"Nice to meet you, Kazuya-senpai. There's still time before classes to get something for breakfast."
He checked on that. Hmm...so there was.
"So there is. I'm done up here anyway."
He began to head for the door, more-or-less assuming that since Shoku had suggested it that she would be joining him.

In many ways huh? Hopefully that does not include scary things in that 'many ways'. She waited as they both withdrew their hands and he took a moment to reconfirm their time. So they were going to dine a small meal before class. Looking back at the city line, she shrugged and followed after her senpai to the dining hall since it was more or less an agreement based on nothing short of 'yes' or 'no'. Heading back down the stairs, she watched his back while musing over what small options of pastries to rice and fish. it's nice to know there is a senpai in the school that seems friendly enough to walk up to. Too bad the cheaper shipping costs didn't play out.
