For the moment, he was just walkin' on in, not really paying anyone much mind. He had to go do something before anything else this morning. Who? What? Huh? What was going on? Well, I'll tell you. You see that tallish guy with the black hair and perhaps the somewhat-stern look in his eye? That's Jin, and Jin has a few routines he likes to handle in the morning, or when he just has the free time. What was it? Well, let's follow him upstairs. Jin was on his way upstairs, which was normal since he was a third-year. He was, however, somewhat out of uniform. For him, it didn't matter, but he sometimes preferred to wear the shirt with a pair of black pants. Right now, that was hung over his shoulder while the other hand held his own personal bag for the day's...everything. He did not stop at the third floor, where his classroom would be. He kept going. The door to the roof opened with an agreeable thud and Jin stretched, inhaling the morning air as he dropped his things not far from the way down and wandered around a bit. Why? Just stretching a bit. Soon, however, you see why Jin came up here often. He was here...to train his body, to keep it ready and taut for a fight, should anyone come looking for one. Jin liked to keep in form, he was a bit strict on himself and even others about it.

Been awhile since she's been to the school roof at an early morning, Suishoku pondered to herself as she covered her mouth of a yawn as she took her time walking up the stairwell to the room. After a nice cramming session of studies somewhere past 2-3 A.M. , there was no point in sleeping once getting started. She doesn't do this every night, just before testing and on her weaker subjects. Knowing that it is a little unhealthy, and disruptive to keep a light on while her roommate is sleeping, the girl makes sure to be 'sleeping' before her roommate gets up for her routine.
While that has been well and good, Suishoku still had to consider a little bit of her health. Passing by a small stall at the cafeteria, she purchased a bread with some jam inside to keep her mind going till classes did officially start and what better place to have breakfast and a good breeze of air is the roof top. As she approached the final steps with her plastic wrapped bread in tow, the girl opened up the door and stepped out with a deep breath of the morning air. Taking care to shut the door behind her quietly, she first checked around the backside of the entrance to check for any hindrances like a careless pile of scrolls or something. Finding the coast to be clear of scrolls, there was a different obstacle on the roof. Based on his clothing of choice, the young man could be a second or third year. While her initial thought was about the gym being closed during the morning hours, he seemed to be set in his ways which left over to go to the fence edge and take her seat, eating her breakfast there without disturbing him. For now.

Train the body, train the mind... The focus that is sharp in minding thine own form can also cut through a test like an axe because of an attention to detail. That which picks up even small truths can surely retain knowledge and studies, thus be victorious in the battle for academia! An amusing analogy, though school is not war. It was a diversion from such action-oriented things, yet no less important. Jin simply attacked it as though an enemy because it put him in the right frame of mind to excel.
He did hear a sound that indicated he was no longer alone on this roof, but the presence of others would not distract him before he was done. To focus was to be able to work in ANY condition, and so the punches and thrusts, kicks and chops, would continue...for a short while. Once Jin was satisfied that the very air rocked from the force of his blows and that he was fine according to his own status quo, he was therefore satisfied...and stopped. He turned to the newcomer.
"Is there something I can help you with?"
What? He didn't know why she was here, and he was pretty sure there wasn't any reason that she might be waiting around for him. It was a free rooftop and there was plenty of it, after all, so why would his morning routine be a problem?

Listening to the rhythmic disturbances in the air in accordance to the trainee behind her, the girl took her slow time to make her small breakfast last a few seconds longer in between bites. It all seemed the most peaceful so far and fairly much like her current state with her dorm mate. With a cautious glance back at the trainee, she licked some of the jam and turned her eyes back to the city scene. With someone that absorbed in the training, it's safe to say there won't be any conflict at this early in the morning.
Now, where was she? Suishoku yawned a little once more. Why the roof? It's not like she was going to hopefully find Onmyoujin-san when he wasn't at the school's infirmary. Nah. He only fainted after all so he might be in his room...from that fruitless venture of finding that. Time to move on to other things. Maybe get around to sending a letter to her folks. They say the first year is the hardest so this year's start has calmed down the stigma instilled in her mind since day one. A little bit anyway till encountering Mr. Il successful kept it back in check. For someone that clearly has more depth under him, he's still dang scary to show up from nowhere.
At the trainee's voice, assuming it was his, Suishoku turned her head to look at him for a few seconds and taking a bite of her bread to further prolong her pause. The roof top continued to be barren with just the two of them there as she lowered her meal to deliver her answer to test the waters with her own ripple question.
"Is there a problem?"

"Is there a problem?"
There was something distinctly wrong with a person who answered a question...with a question, all while not delivering any sort of answer to the first question at all. It struck him as something people do specifically to goad others because they haven't got anything clever to say. Putting it all on him when it wasn't even established who the interloper here was seemed more than rude, but it was also shitty behavior. Now, he could've been an ass and said 'Nope!' then continued practice on the left foot, but somehow doing so just wasn't his style. Jin liked to know where he stood with the world, as well as the people in it.
"You have the look of someone waiting for me not to be here, or at least to be done with my routine."
He was giving her a rather stern glare at this point, a sort of 'Let's not mince words here' look that said he wasn't in the mood for people playing with him in the morning. He liked to practice to relax and prepare himself for the day and other poeple should just let him be when the time comes, unless they have a legitimate problem, that is.

"You have the look of someone waiting for me not to be here, or at least to be done with my routine."
Suishoku blinked once and rubbed her eyes at the odd boy who at first seemed perfectly fine with his self training routine. Biting a bit of the bread in her mouth, she sighed and took a good long look at the distance between them and how empty the roof top was. Perhaps the guy across from her could take note as well that there is only two of them and the roof is of substantial size. It came to her as two things; one being there was some idea they owned the roof or two, this person has a weird issue with being walked in on. Funny how the later only brought to her mind embarrassed people that get walked in on in their dressing rooms. Finishing her half a bite, licking a little bit of jam that oozed in the process, she stared back at his stern look with half closed eyes.
"Then...lock the doors next time while you're up here or put an ofuda seal on it. Is it really that harmful to your training for someone to have breakfast with a view? I doubt it was that disrespectful to let you continue your routine undisturbed till now."
She spoke as logically as it sounded in her head but her voice passed it off as a sarcastic tone of a retort to 'Are you stupid?'. Not that she did mean anything of bitterness about it and would have been fine to wait it out on the roof till classes officially start but his attitude was similar to Onmyoujin-san's....minus her interfering with their work this time.

[OOC: Ack! Sorry about this taking so long!]
"Then...lock the doors next time while you're up here or put an ofuda seal on it. Is it really that harmful to your training for someone to have breakfast with a view? I doubt it was that disrespectful to let you continue your routine undisturbed till now."
Jin found himself looking this girl over for a moment, wondering just what she was going on about? Did she honestly think that he had some sort of need to be in absolute solitude for his training habits? If that had been the case, then they would have been otherwise worthless, for not being able to use them in the public eye when necessary was a serious dampener to their use. Still, this misunderstanding made him shake his head at her.
"No no no... This isn't about my needs. I simply wished to know if there was something you needed, because I'm not the sort of person to keep others waiting."
In fact, that was so totally not like the ancient him either, taking his battles head-on and with a well-thought-out plan of attack to press the enemy into a disadvantage and overpower them with swiftness and skill...but that was another time. This was different. He was just being...courteous. He knew this was a public place. He simply had the notion, perhaps erroneously, that something was expected of him here. You wouldn't believe how easily that could occur once it's pegged that Jin Kazuya's a dependable guy.

(( OCC: That's okay so what happened to ya? don't tell me you forgot o.O ))
"No no no... This isn't about my needs. I simply wished to know if there was something you needed, because I'm not the sort of person to keep others waiting."
Suishoku looked at him, watching his head move said to side in disagreement and come to say something she didn't even expect to hear. Her needs? Her needs!? Here she started to worry about her comment of breakfast with a view being played against her but thankfully it's rare one ever runs into a wild joker character. Still, this did come off strange to ask about her needs. It wasn't as though she gave the intention of having a need, not that she was aware of. Calming down on trying to figure the guy out further, the girl rubbed her charm hair clip and chalked it up as him being humble.
"I think I said my needs. Did my studying, got some bread, went to the roof for a nice breeze and see the city. Didn't come to the roof looking for anyone this time."
Standing up from her seated spot, the girl held the bread in her mouth while patting away the dust marks on her uniform before approaching the student. There was still one thing she wanted to have cleared up that started all this confusion. As she drew closer, she stood three steps away and looked up at his eyes, her own steel gray reflecting her want of clarity. Removing the jam bread from her mouth, she licked away the bits of jelly on her lips before speaking.
"You said that I have the look of someone waiting you to not to be here. It's early in the morning but, I don't see how you drew that conclusion. Care to show how letting you train in peace lead to that?"
After her question she continued to scrutinize then unknown ranked student for his answer. Confusion and not understanding was just things she couldn't tolerate when talking to others in her desire to be understood and understand others in what they mean. Being treated akin to a foreigner was considered to be highly embarrassing; walking away and leaving confusion as it is is never an option.

[OOC: I don't forget. I get crap mounted on me. Jin can attest to this.]
"I think I said my needs. Did my studying, got some bread, went to the roof for a nice breeze and see the city. Didn't come to the roof looking for anyone this time."
It seemed that this was indeed the case. The girl didn't seem to be even the sort to bother concealing anything only to thrust it upon someone unexpected-like, so in all likelyhood she was being honest with him. Brutally honest, really. What we have here is a case of Jin looking too far into a situation for an answer when there wasn't really one there. She was now standing up and approached him with, he assumed, some curiosity now.
"You said that I have the look of someone waiting you to not to be here. It's early in the morning but, I don't see how you drew that conclusion. Care to show how letting you train in peace lead to that?"
He sighed. This was obviously a mistake on his part.
"I think it must be something I'm use to from work. Not literally the same, just that I have a supervisor who doesn't like people standing idle and a co-worker who gets very competitive."
That much was true, and could lead to him being overly-wary of the eyes of others at times. Omato-san bred competition in his employees because a courier with a desire to beat out others in his field moved faster. And as for Kei, well...she was more or less his rival in the field, so you can understand why he might think that this girl here was grilling him with eyes alone.

((OOC: It's okay. I'm just happy you didn't forget but hopefully the work load has lessened some by now for you.))
"Work? Aside from the missions?"
Her eyes blinked in further confusion. The hint of something like that not even related to missions had her intrigued now and this guy can't be first year with the age requirements needed to have a part-time job as far as she knew. With that out of the day, there left two options. Either this guy has a family business somewhere in Osaka or he's actually her senpai. Now this is odd while at the same time, why didn't she think of it sooner? Third years have the most lenient of uniform policies besides supporting her guess he is the legal age for an actual job! Realizing that and his reasoning, her stern form of confusion curiosity was replaced with a lighter wording of casual interest for someone to actually mention a line of work possibly not at all related to this military training business.
"Ah. I understand now. Well, neither one of them are here at the moment so you can relax as well. You're a third year, right? Sorry this all came across er, too sharp, senpai. Is this training you're doing more for work and school or personal upkeep?"
Relaxing her posture to resuming eating the last of her breakfast as he spoke, Suishoku is genuinely curious of this third year. Not many third years make an open point to talk to their lower level classmates long when confronted, many focused on one thing or another for it being their final year within the school. A student having a job so early got her to wondering if he really did get a sort of normal job at all. This is a school targeted to tailor their graduates into government and military placements, wonder what exactly he's doing with the extra income.

"Work? Aside from the missions?"
"Yes, aside from missions. I like to stay active."
That and it certainly didn't hurt to have a little positive cash-flow, yah? The whole missions thing was indeed also important, but at Shima Services, you work hard as though it were serious, because your boss certainly will be when he reviews you! So, that actually seemed to satisfy the girl somewhat now.
"Ah. I understand now. Well, neither one of them are here at the moment so you can relax as well. You're a third year, right? Sorry this all came across er, too sharp, senpai. Is this training you're doing more for work and school or personal upkeep?"
He shrugged.
"It's of no consequence, though I am a third year, yes."
He then did a brief stretch, cooling down, before answering the other question.
"I could apply it to anything I deem appropriate. The best answer at this point is probably 'yes'."
His work was physical, and school had gym class. And of course, he just personally liked to keep himself in shape.

"That so."
The girl nodded with more insight on her senior and little comment of of answers and behavior. For the most part, it was very surprising to find him thus far to be normal. Taking him and dropping him in a different school setting and this guy would proably have stayed the same way. But that's possibly getting ahead of herself. Should be something or other about him to explain how he isn't like most other students as with her stigma, or maybe herself just being paranoid is the right term. Asking outright would be very rude along with requiring her to explain herself. Safe to assume that won't happen.
"That's nice to have a job. Maybe buy a few things in the city. Guess seniors get a lot of time on their hands to apply for one. Is your dorm building close to where you work as well, senpai? Wouldn't that be convient."
Glancing back out on city, the second year wondered where her building was while checking back to the male incase he randomly descided to walk out on her on their conversation.

The thing that you're probably looking for to distinguish him would be his approach to battle and other tasks. Jin's doctorine was that of almost pure warrior mentality, that things should be just so and not sullied by acts of cowardice. He wanted it to be known to the opponent who defeated them and why, for the better man to triumph because he deserved it, not because he slit a man's throat in the night. That was Jin Kazuya, and you wouldn't find very much in his martial arts practice to define that aspect of him, sadly.
"That's nice to have a job. Maybe buy a few things in the city. Guess seniors get a lot of time on their hands to apply for one. Is your dorm building close to where you work as well, senpai? Wouldn't that be convient."
"Now that...I haven't been lucky on. It's in the middle of the city. Being a courier service, you'd need it amongst the places you're going to deliver to, radiating outward to all the customers. That, at least, was the owner's strategy, and a sound one. It is, however, not close by."
And it doesn't help that Kei provides her own transportation either...

"So....your job is in the middle of Osaka," she started, thinking his dorm building must have been further away to be in close walking distance of the school that his actual work needs. Still, it is pretty far when considering they all were living on school campus till the habor attack on the Sayo's arrival. Thinking upon that night's events, she imagined herself throwing the subject over the fence of the roof. That event left nothing but turbulant waters throughout the city and then some. Her face scowled a little in regret of taking part of it when she could have been part of the rest of the students who woke up from the noise of the explosions than trupping around the woods for a pre-meditated ninja run in.
"Senpai, how do you get to your job before the school reduced the land size? You make it sound like your dorm building is further away from the school than the school is to your job. Am I hearing wrong?"
She then asked, trying to cover up her distracted mind and putting her attention to the nameless Senpai. If he noticed then great for him, she'll just have to skirt around it unless he remembered Mr. Il calling out the selected group that morning but who actually does remember that aside from the Mori guy being absent and rumors of him and pirates on the school message boards.
"A motorcycle might help out, I think..."

"So....your job is in the middle of Osaka,"
"Yes."
"Senpai, how do you get to your job before the school reduced the land size? You make it sound like your dorm building is further away from the school than the school is to your job. Am I hearing wrong?"
"It's not very far from the subway line. I've used it and my own feet to do the job for short or long-range deliveries."
The basic layout was that Kei could handle all trips equally on her bike as one would expect on one of those things. However, it was far more economical - because of the price of gas - for Jin to be used on any short run for local areas. Then add to that the subway line. It was at least if fast - if not faster - than Kei's bike when you want to get something somewhere long distance, requiring you to maybe even leave the city. That was also to Jin's advantage. Even still...
"A motorcycle might help out, I think..."
"Don't think I haven't considered it, although a car could hold me. I don't have quite the money for either, though. Not at this time. It might push me over the top if I did, though..."
Sorry, but Jin was sort of overlooking that whole name thing like a blindspot because the conversation went interesting all of a sudden. Don't blame him. He tends to be that way sometimes. He didn't know his own rival's name for weeks.
