<> Self <>
Personality: Although Kohaku is and has always been a very quiet girl, others would rarely describe her as timid or boring. Her soft voice and calm demeanor tend to make others feel comfortable, which coincides with her very motherly personality. She is patient and accepting, it takes a lot to make her dislike someone. However, despite her seemingly weak, 'pushover' outside, she is actually a very strong-willed and determined person. Helping others is her passion, and the minute someone she loves is threatened, her unfaltering loyalty brings her to the front lines.

Samurai Name: Shimazu Yoshihiro
Clan: Shimazu
History: Yoshihiro, second son to Shimazu Takahisa, was a loyal and talented samurai, dedicated to his elder brother while young, but entirely able to fight his own battles. Before even turning 40, he was able to take down another samurai's 3000 men with only 300 of his own. Later becoming the daimyo of the land and a strong leader, Yoshihiro left the throne to his son, Tadatsune.
Sacred Item: Woven bracelet with a dog tooth charm
Activate Ability 1: Protective Coat - If Kohaku has taken too much damage, she can activate a white aura that will deflect the next attack
Activate Ability 2: Replenish - The threads of Kohaku's bracelet wrap themselves around a fresh wound (herself or ally), lightly healing and motivating the recipient
Activate Ability 3: Crisis Strike - The tooth of Kohaku's bracelet multiplies and extends over her hand to form a triple-clawed slash that she can aim
Passive 1: Adrenaline - In combat or when startled, Kohaku receives an adrenaline rush, which temporarily increases her endurance and agility
Passive 2: Intense Focus - When isolated, Kohaku focuses entirely on her senses and locate nearby enemies in hiding and/or allies in need (cannot be used in combat)
Overburst Color: White
Overburst Attack: Kohaku lunges toward an enemy/enemies, a white aura surrounding her and quickly growing into the image of a wolf ready to bite. The aura engulfs the enemy in a frantic hallucination. Little true damage is done, but the enemy is stunned in fear and knocked off their feet.
<> Background <>
Support:
Shimazu Takeru: 44; father, overworked and still coping with his wife's infidelity. Takeru is a very well-respected man with a good paying job, the only way he's able to support his two daughters.
Shimazu Amane: 17; sister, Amane dropped out of school to focus on a music career. Despite being younger, Kohaku has always been Amane's stability.
Minami Kaede: 37; mother, she refused to marry Takeru but still began a family, which she later decided she would never be ready for.
History: Although she descends from the notable family of Shimazu Yoshihiro, Kohaku actually has very little knowledge of her family history. Her father, Takeru, was held in high hopes by his own parents, letting them down with his mediocre grades and social skills. However, he managed to climb the ranks and land himself a good enough job to send his daughters to a fantastic, military-based school, hoping to make up for his own failures through them. (Her mother, Kaede, she would never know, as she was gone before Kohaku's first birthday).
While Kohaku grew up the beloved little girl, her older sister Amane felt the harsh pressure of being firstborn with a family name to uphold. Kohaku took great pride in being Amane's best friend and only support system, learning to love others and help them. However, shortly after learning what really happened to their mother (that so-called "backstabbing whore," as her father would describe), Amane cut ties with her family and dropped out of school, leaving her little sister as the only heir to the family name, and a female at that. Along with the brunt of Amane's stress, Kohaku inherited from her sister a mysterious bracelet, woven from old, seemingly brittle thread encasing a canine tooth. Despite the state of the bracelet, it never broke. Amane left her with no explanation of this gift, outside the fact that their grandfather had sent it to her, as she was expected to carry on the family name. As she began high school, Kohaku finally understood what Amane had been going through, and finally realized that she was incapable of being a leader, she only wanted to support others.
Even so, she wanted nothing more than to please her father, who had little left to be happy for, and she was enrolled at Bugei Academy. Here, she felt like she could learn more about her own family history, as well as figure out how to make both Amane and her father proud.
