It was one of the brighter days of Bugei Academy as the temperatures were tolerable. It was at this point that people were busy engaging in shooting practices at the various marked locations. The sound of gunshots rang through the air as students were working on aiming at the desired targets. To some other places, to see high school students manning cannons was a bizarre sight, but in Bugei Academy, it was extremely normal and happened ordinarily. As such, the red-haired tennis player was not phased by the cannon blasts happening during her bouts on the court. Instead she seemingly tuned out the nonsense as she gracefully dashed along the court on the balls of her feet. Her normal formal attire was replaced by a form-fitting t-shirt and a skirt with spats underneath along with sneakers, and her hair was pulled up in a ponytail. Her bangs still went over one eye, yet it seemed to not at all effect her stellar performance on the court.
After a while, she was finished with practice and her hand reached out for her rather fancy black and red water bottle. She plucked the nozzle upward and sipped from it as her sneakers lightly walked against the grass. Her brown eyes sharply glared a bit at the heavy artillery students before she seemingly ignored them once more. They really did poorly place the fields. It was simply improper to have the courts for a sport that requires concentration and a moderate amount of silence right next door to target fields for people to fire cannons in. If she could, she would so contact the school designers about this issue/complication, but there did not seem to be a way to fix this. A sigh was released from under her breath. Ah well, she herself had already learned how to tune out the noise and focus on her true target: the pale yellow ball charging towards her from the smack of a ratchet hitting it.
She walked over to an open bench and sat down on it, immediately crossing her legs as she gently sipped her water, her lips sucking the plastic nozzle which it was coming out of. There was one thing she didn't understand though; what was with guys observing her and some of the other girls on the court? Was female tennis that engaging somehow? She seemed almost oblivious to her looks and the choice of attire, but that could only be heard within her mind. Either way, she was free now and relaxing to the sounds of gunfire in the distance.

If today wasn't hot enough, The firing squad was here at work getting ready to take out an unlucky person wanting to have a peaceful day. He trailed along the yards with his head somewhat low after his first few classes ended up with nothing but questions. One for example is why he still wasn't in uniform. Like the answer wasn't right in front of them being his size and body build there aren't many if any at all uniforms around for his size. As he traveled around he couldn't help but notice that they built a sport section right next to the cannon area......Really. That broke him, He let out a hard laugh as he spotted a single player who had a look on her face as if she herself was thinking the same.
He wasn't shy of women hell a guy needs their female companion, But when it came to taking one as his own he never gave much interest as he couldn't have time to worry about another person besides his sister. He came here to erase such things as emotions and now he seemed to be following his second sword to this isolated girl in this somewhat perfect setting. He closed the gap between them rather quickly with his walk due to his size he took more of a step with his pace then others. Without words being said, He simply sat down right next to the girl with his head moving up to look at the sky above them. He was honestly relaxing from the long day more so then trying to look like a bad ass. His arms went over the bench's spine which came behind her back as well not intentional. With a few good deep breaths he finally spoke towards the girl with a side way glance.
"Yo, Fancy them cannons huh."

Mitsuru was about to put down her water bottle when she suddenly felt the touch of someone's arm around her back. It was a rather sudden invasion of space that caused her to be quite confused. Who would be sitting right next to her? Normally her senses were more alert than this; she would typically detect immediately whenever someone was entering her space, but instead she was completely taken off guard. However, her facial expression failed to change as she turned to glance over at the uninvited guest. Her eyes automatically narrowed in curiosity and confusion all at once as she carefully observed the male. It was not out of fury or upset at all, but sometimes males were under the impression that the normally strict young lady would rip them into shreds. Not a word was uttered from her mouth. After a bit, the male started up the conversation by making an amusing comment about the cannons. It wasn't really that clever or anything, but it did make Mitsuru smile. She eased up in her formal position and placed her water bottle down as a smile stretched across her face. A light chuckle was uttered from her mouth as she began to respond in kind. "Sure, the sound of cannons firing goes along so well with playing tennis." The comment of course was made in utter sarcasm as the slight change in her usual tone indicated. She wasn't expecting anyone to approach her, but she did appreciate the company. For now, he seemed fairly decent, but one thing confused her: he wasn't wearing the uniform. That indicated that he was an upperclassmen. However, she didn't recognize him at all. She was a fairly social person that often made her presence known to the student body in a good way. So to have a total stranger even in appearance to her was somewhat baffling. She decided to address her concerns directly. "Now, I don't mean to be rude or offensive, but you don't seem to be wearing the uniform and I don't recognize you. I am Kitaniji, Mitsuru, and I am a third year." Her hand extended out to shake his. Her eyes were focused onto his the entire time. Her eyes had an intense feeling to them that was hard to describe. They weren't judgmental, and she certainly was being friendly, but something about the air of her displayed her assertive nature. She patiently waited for his answer.

Her body spoke to him as clear as her voice. This woman wasn't some princess type as one would seem to think. The way she presented herself and even her tone of voice showed that she tried hard to get the status that she currently holds whatever it maybe. It seemed that he was one of the few here who didn't know what to do next now that he arrived at this place. Others had a clear sett goal some even had it written down on paper..Honestly that meeting was just damn right funny. She seemed to easy up little by little as she responded back to his little joke. Honestly who could like the fact a firing squad was right next to their tennis court.
As she spoke his left hand moved inside his open hoody. The inside pocket held a bottle of water which was slowly getting warm from the bare body heat due to him not wearing a shirt under the hood. Pulling the bottle out the somewhat cooling sensation left within the bottle brushed onto his chest which he had to agree felt good. As it seemed they both were people who didn't like to continue a chat after starting it, Or depended on the other to deepen the conversation for them. Or so he thought before her voice rang once more asking about his current status within the school it seemed...Even had her name at the end of the question, That was fast. His eyes darted towards her out stretched hand waiting for him to respond.
Reaching with his free arm now going over her head to respond to her hand shake, His eyes caught onto hers. Something felt off, Maybe she was testing him? Its been said around this place people mark their targets and attack later on. Is that what she was aiming for? His own eyes seemed to look into hers for an answer, With not one coming to light. His carefree mood slowly left as his eyes hardened into her stare, taking her hand now with a firm grip. Be it male or female in this school, A fight is a fight.
"Mikamura, Kenzo, And yes i am a student here. For now i'm just out of uniform due to them not having a size for me...'Yet'."

His hardened stare caused her to be both intrigued and amused at the same time. He was clearly ready to fight. Good. This was a school of fighters and people ready to pound on their next targets. If he was aware of that, then he was taking the right steps towards surviving within this academy. Her smile changed into one of approval as her hand shook his firmly. She was mildly impressed by the newcomer. That was when she then noticed another detail; the man was shirtless. He was exposing his rather well-toned torso to the world. Suddenly her face gained a bit of color as she properly finished her handshake before turning away for a moment to adjust her bangs. It was all to cover her reaction towards his appearance. She couldn't allow herself to melt over such silly aesthetic details such as how ripped a guy was. If anything, that should have warned her that he was in shape, not turn her on! Within a short moment, she was back to her usual formal composure as she sat there with her legs crossed and glanced back into his eyes. She was clearly an assertive type, and though she was direct, she didn't seem deterred by simple conversation either. However, her stance might have made things...awkward on the casual conversation end. Most "commoners" found it difficult to adapt to her air. However, he didn't seem deterred by it in any way, so that was a good thing. There were some benefits to going to a prestigious academy. "Your size is rather abnormal. Very well, I hope arrangements will be made swiftly for you. If not, I can be of some assistance. I have my ways of getting things done around here." Her words revealed that she had at least some form of good standing within the academy; enough of a standing to actually have an influence or perhaps connections to consult around the school. In her usual short and sweet mannerisms, she decided to cut right to the point. "Now Mr. Mikamura, is there any reason why you decided to sit here, or are you just here to enjoy the gunfire?" The female's joke was a callback to the comment the male made not too long ago. Mitsuru had no intention of scaring him off; she just wanted to know a little more about what she was dealing with here.
